DLNA compliant UPnP Media Server from Google

#1 Edited by Changgo (127 posts) -

I came across this Google-published utility today and thought that others looking for an open source media server to connect their PS3 to their computer-hosted media may be interested as well.  (The utility also claims basic Xbox 360 support.)

Looks interesting, i will give the OS X version a try later.

Edit. Tried it out works fine, had to force the IP of the server. But the app streams fine. Only thing i don't like about it is the UI it looks pretty shitty on the Mac side, but it works and its free so you cant really bitch.

Never had great luck with streaming. Found the WMP plugin thing worked best :P That said, I haven't tried this one.
