How has PS+ been received?

It's been almost a year since PS+ launched and I was curious to hear the community's views on the service and how well it's done in terms of people subscribing to it.


I'm member and it's worked out pretty brilliantly for me (Stacking for free and the Killzone 3 beta being the highlights) but take up seems to pretty low. They just released Red Faction : Battlegrounds for free to PS+ today and there were less than 10 matches available to join. Surely more people would at least try the game for free if they had the subscription?

Tell us your thoughts on it's take up and the service itself.

I don't use my PS3 anywhere near enough to warrant it, but from what I've seen from PS players, it seems that many PS players are perfectly happy with PSN (as opposed to PS+) and even more happy with the fact that it's free.

Are you on crack? Red Faction: Battlegrounds isn't free.

It is in Europe. It's pretty good but no-one is playing it despite it being free.

I did subscribe just a few weeks ago and still i hardly use my ps3 but the free games and stuff are very good.

 

But i should keep an eye on the free stuff a bit more since earlier today i just bought that red faction game on xbox live then just before i came on here i just checked psn and found it is free there :( ah well

Iv already got well over  £30 worth of stuff  or whatever it cost. But I only have a PS3 so Im gonna be using it to its fullest

Man that's pretty lame. Then again I can always preorder it from Amazon and cancel for a free code, but I'm too lazy to do that
