This re-release seems unnecessary at first glance, but the conclusion of Kratos' journey serves up a level of spectacle that remains impressive in 2015.
Her Story is a bold and largely successful experiment in interactive crime fiction.
Rocksteady's gorgeous-looking third Arkham game refines its open-world format a bit and lets you drive a whole hell of a lot of Batmobile.
Majora's Mask, OlliOlli2, Counterspy, Dragon Quest Heroes, Hyrule Warriors, FF14 Gold Saucer update, htol#NiQ, White Night, VR, free game engines, gold amiibos, Clay Fighter, and more!
For any of you listening to this for the first time because they were on the Bombcast, welcome and what took you?
@accolade: Yeaht hese guys are great, been listening since they got posted on here
Guilty as charged.
8-4 has been my on again off again podcast for ages. Love their stuff, but somehow I always forget to add their feed when I change cell phones
Yes 8-4 friday!
That doesn't apply to me, but I lost major interest when interns became regulars, when Mark kept no-showing, how they're too busy with work these days to produce a worthwhile 'whatcha been playing' segment and their discussion of Japanese games is no more than I've heard discussed in other podcasts. Personally, I find it boring until they get to the news segments, but there's a better podcast devoted to games news, called 'GT Time' with Kyle Bosman, so... to me, a very redundant podcast these days.
My new 2nd favorite podcast! I might buy a 3DS and try Monster Hunter 4 because of these 8-4 people... I don't know how I feel about that.
@shtinky: I'll check out the GT podcast. Sounds good.
The gameplay in Danganronpa is nothing to write home about. I was lukewarm on the first game after I finished it. But after I played the 2nd one, the series instantly became a favorite for me.
What the heck was up with the Cyber City Oedo clip at the very end of the episode? Caught me off guard.
GTtime is an excellent podcast.
Anyone who listens to this should go back and try to find Mark's old podcasts from his 1UP days. You think he's wild now? HA. Mark and Shane Bettenhausen (he's been in super scant few Giant Bomb things) used to have my favorite dynamic.
Singing the French lyrics to the Pokémon theme, brave man.
Anyone know the of the name song playing at the start of the podcast?
@nimusho: Music from OlliOlli2 soundtrack.
@shtinky: I lol'd, but then I realized you were serious, then I lol'd harder.
Yeah, it's great; it's sort of like a modern day version of GameSpot's The HotSpot from back in the day. There's a lot of other excellent personality-driven shows on GT as well, so check those out as well.
And then everyone groaned at the person who says 'I lol'd' over the internet?
I think they made Louis Futon - Shoulda Known (GANZ Remix) the intro by accident.
Thanks for bringing up "GT time", I've just listened to the first 6 episodes or so and have laughed harder than I've laughed at the Bombcast in years. They're also very well informed, quick, witty, and perfectly comfortable being on the air. It'll definitely be on my weekly rotation from now on.
I also like 8-4 play, but the idea of it being about the Japanese video game scene is becoming less relevant as Japan becomes less and less relevant to video games. If their theory about Japanese gaming moving 100% to mobile platforms ever comes true, I'll probably just stop listening to the podcast because I have zero interest in mobile.
Great group of guests on this episode. See everyone again in a couple weeks!
Anyone wanna do me a solid and help me figure out if I hallucinated a bit?
At one point the gentleman who sang the Pokemon theme in english was talking about a game based off of a Canadian comic or something like that- I can't seem to find it scrubbing through the podcast half-assedly. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
