There’s some really great Vegeta shit during The Buu Saga but TBH if youse guys did DragonBall ass DragonBall(felt like some hints) that may be the better choice as Buu Saga takes some fucking time like Vol 2 is where it kinda starts getting good
BTW since Super is a LONG ways away here’s how they explain Time Travel in tbe least spoilerly way basically everytime someone travels through time a new timeline is made and it creates a “Time Ring” there’s ALOT of context on the table but it is very well explained and used narratively in Super.

Also in regards to the Martial Arts Tournament that’s a 2nd arc of DragonBall thing and that’s like mid 80s it’s we’re all of the background characters like “Pigman(literally debuts as a shape shifter who’d steal away little girls from a village to marry them...MUCH funnier in context than it reads ) “The Cat” “The other Cat” “The Turtle” and “Ass Eating Samurai” made their bones.
