Goodbye to a UFC Legend

I was able to see what was most likely the last fight in Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell's spectacular UFC career. Chuck is probably the most recognizable MMA fighter in the world today, but unfortunately, was unceremoniously knocked out by Rich Franklin last Saturday at UFC 115. Liddell looked in shape and fought well in the first round. After rocking Franklin, Liddell charged to finish him, but was caught by an on-point counter right hand and dropped immediately. Chuck historically has had a great chin, but that chin is all but gone now.
Chuck is one of the fighters that really got me into watching MMA and UFC specifically, but I think it is time for him to hang it up. He's had memorable KO's of a laundry list of UFC stars, including Randy Couture and Tito Ortiz, and was always fun to watch fight. Even though I wanted to see The Iceman turn Tito's face into hamburger one more time, I hope that now he can become an ambassador to the sport and bow out gracefully.
Chuck - there's no need to hang your head in shame. You are, and always were, the man.
