Beau started his life in Texas.  It was there that he first played Double Dragon on the NES.  Since then, Beau has been in love with video games. Opening his first EGM some 18 years ago, he fell in love with the idea of video game journalism. He loves The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Resident Evil 4.  Nowadays, Beau considers video games not just as entertainment mediums, but potential pieces of art as well. (Well, not all of them, but those of quality). He finds it fascinating how certain games stimulate our sensory modalities via our interaction with them.

In his time not spent surrounded by video games, Beau loves hanging out with his girlfriend, who, being a full-time teacher of pubescent teenagers, is never not surrounded by talk of video games.  Their two cats engage in games by default, e.g., conveniently brushing past his leg during a straining move on Wii Fit – while the lovebird, aptly named Chikorita, unknowingly partakes in combat attack moves by furiously gnawing on the shiny controller buttons.

When he is not working at Game Crazy full time, he is most likely found on The Internets, perusing enthusiast video game press sites and talking with anonymous bloggers – more likely than not, those same pubescent teenagers his girlfriend teaches.  Recently, however, he has also taken to immersing himself in graphic novels, and is currently collaborating with a friend on a narrative of their own.   

Beau will soon be completing the last semester toward his Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Technology and Culture at Washington State University, along with his professional writing certificate.  On campus, Beau is a contributor to the university’s newspaper, the Vancougar, for which he writes a video game review column.
