Probably wouldn't get the Series S over the X unless I just needed an extra one in a separate room and had money to burn. It is a good price point if I ever wanted to get a good gift for a young cousin or someone close
My decision to get this pretty much depends on how difficult it is to be able to access all my digital content while still having a regular switch. Will I have to assign the Lite as the "primary" console or whatever. Would be nice to be able to assign multiple devices like maybe 1 regular and 1 lite as primary.
Just subbed to the xbox ultimate game pass with that $1 deal for the next 3 years so I'll have plenty of time to see if enjoy the model. However, if the future is every big publisher having their own subscription services, I probably wouldn't do that unless prices go down. Already have way too many tv/movie subs as it is, don't want to go down that route for games for now
I've pretty much sold all my older software, but have the hardware lying around somewhere since the hassle of packing and shipping wasn't worth the cost of selling them. Holding onto physical games just doesn't appeal to me anymore because who am I showing them off to honestly. The older I got, staring at them on my shelves just didn't excite me anymore.
I only play once a week to finish that week's challenges, so maybe 2sh hours. I really enjoy it for those couple hours, but any longer and I start to feel the lack of maps and the grind of assignments start to wear thin.
If this is combined with the existing console game pass and if the library is great and lots of publishers get on board, it'd be hard for me to pass up. Another dream feature for me would be if their upcoming cloud streaming service was just combined so I could either download or stream when I want (download if I'm at home, stream if I'm at a friend's house and don't want to use up his all his bandwidth)
