Everyone that asked the question "how does giant bomb make money?" finally got their answer. They didn't

This, a thousand times this.

Also, ITT: People not understanding the situation, assuming the worst. The massive sense of self-entitlement that some of the more vocal members in this community seem to have is just pathetic, and how quickly they have such a knee-jerk reaction to this without knowing anything else is just depressing. God forbid the GB staff wants to keep doing what they're doing and not have to shut down, God forbid they want to actually turn a profit off their hard work. Do you guys have any idea how the world works? Not everything is about you.

Being pessimistic about things ends with me being right or pleasantly surprised. I'm optimistic about being a pessimist.

That's a miserable way to live through life, but that's your prerogative.

I'm going to say something that everyone will hate but I'm still saying it.

Really wish they wouldn't have made a spoiler of ME2 a main headline. I'm playing through the series for the first time now, and I just finished ME1. I'm really invested in the story, and have been trying to avoid as many spoilers as possible. Then I come to one of my favorites sites, and there's one right on the front page.

I get that things can change depending on your choices and such, but I still think it would've been cool to just have the story/headline titled to just something along the lines of "Patrick's experience with *specific mission or whatever."

Lol, stop being so dramatic. Mass Effect 2 is almost impossible to spoil, and that's what makes it so brilliant.

You guys are making too big of a deal out of it.

I trust the crew at Giantbomb and their integrity - hell, their refreshing strong sense of integrity is one of the reasons I've been a regular for the past year and a half. The guys here, especially Jeff, wouldn't make this kind of decision lightly and honestly with the way their payment plan has been set up, I'm surprised from a financial standpoint that something like this didn't happen much sooner.

But of course you're going to have egotistical kids with an over-inflated ego and massive sense of self entitlement bitching and complaining that the sky is falling, with no real understanding how the real world actually works, so if you're reading this try not to take the comment section too seriously bros.

11,000 dollars (so far) are going to kids who need help.

Unless, of course, Bioware doesn't change the ending.

@SamDrugbringer: As of September 16, 2008, World of Warcraft had cost over $200 million just to upkeep the servers and for customer support, its not hard to imagine WoW costing nine figures to develop.
