DLC Rant!

As some of you may have heard, this friday is the day that the new Metallica album becomes available as both a music cd and DLC for guitar hero 3. The DLC, for those of you interested, will be $18 and will be compatible with guitar hero world tour. $18 huh? I listened to the whole album and I must say that if I have to send 1440 points (i think that's how much $18 is) to get this on two video games, they should allow you to also transmit these songs to your iPod or Zune.

I'm sorry Metallica. Even with my anti-piracy streak lately (actually buying music that I like), spending twice as much money on music without having the right to do anything else with it besides play it in a video game is rediculous. But you can say, "But it's Metallica Mike! How dare you not want to spend the little amount of money that your jobless ass has on plastic guitar music!". If there was a way to physically enflict pain on you over the internet, I would smack your eye with a fishbowl if you said that to me. Well, I wouldn't hit you........hard.

All I'm saying is that I know that there are going to be a bunch of people who would rush to their ps3/360 and get this on the day it's released. I just think that it is outrageous to charge us a price that high for something that we should be able to have more control over.

18 dollars. You are kidding right? I could understand the whole fight against napster, but that is just ridiculous.

$18 is ridiculous. Period. No album is worth $18 to play in Guitar Hero. Or even Rock Band!

$18 seems like a lot of money to get those songs for GH III, especially since World Tour is coming out very soon.  I'm going to pass on this one.

DBoy: The songs will be compatible with World Tour. So you would only have to buy them once. That's at least what I read.
