So basically this commercial was made by Nike and every nation in the video has been eliminated from the World Cup.  

I doubt that this is a new advert as it may be hard making the "new" advert on a few days notice.

It would be hard making a new advert on the spot, when the player in question is still in south africa...

Its funny the way things turn up sometimes.Coincidence?probably.

The Dutch team (though admittedly not any individual Dutch player) are featured in that ad, and it seems like they're still around.

That's pretty funny. Reminds me of the Madden curse. I don't know if that's still continuing, but for quite a few years in a row an athlete would be injured or just have a bad year after being featured on the Madden cover.

Just for clarification. No one actually believes in curses, right? No one's that stupid.

I'm glad Wesley Sneijder isn't in one of these,he's also signed as a Nike football player but for some reason there isn't a World Cup commercial featuring him.Hope it stays that way.

I would say all the Nike commercials were done in advance.  Maybe some just weren't aired.
