Any tips on getting Imperials and Raiders to fight each other instead of me? Its so easy to get the bugs to attack other people, but I have a hard time instigating fights between Imperials and Raiders.

Its kind of annoying but it seems like even when you have the two factions around each other they still prioritize on attacking you. I think for them to fight each other they need to be alone. It's like they don't like each other but you are a common enemy.

My hopes for additions to the game are some sort of Daily Challenge, and Leaderboards to go with it. I kind of doubt the second one but it would really be nice to be able to turn it into sort of a competition. For now I see myself sort of creating new objectives in order to make things stay interesting after a while. Stuff like no crash coin starts, not getting specific upgrades, no missile runs, and other crazy stuff like that.

A no crash coin start in Season 4 is absolutely suicide for me so far. I've resorted to going back to Season 1 or 2 in order to farm some crash coins to go into Season 4 when I mess up.

Yeah I share your sentiments. I really enjoy leaderboards in Spelunky, something like that would be great and keep me going. I thought too that S4 would be too hard without some Crash Coins but it isn't, you just have to be careful and do good on the first two levels, I beat it with a ton of upgrades and some leftover 2,000 dollars. I was thinking it might be fun to try and beat it with no upgrades other than speed, but some enemies might take forever to kill!?

If an enemy ship is 4-5 times your ships size. Do not engage. Or if you do, tell me how it goes because I've been too scared to (in season 4). Like someone mentioned above clip fire is amazing if you find it. Speed boosts are essential especially against some of the raider type enemies who will chase you down with shotgun weapons. Sometimes when your back is against the wall and you're trying to finish a mission by warping out, the best thing you can do is get the enemies to follow you somewhere, break line of sight, and then sneak back. For some enemies the best way to avoid them is to dash at them in ship form, juke over the top of em, and keep fucking booking it. There's an upgrade where everything you grab as a mech turns into a high power explosive. Seems great but everytime I get it I kill the shitttttt out of myself so... don't do that.

Once you essentially 'master' the ship (and its decently upgraded) you can take on most anything. I've taken on 2 hyenas, 2 rhinos and 4 little guys at once before. I got wrecked here but this is a pretty sweet example of how crazy things can get. I actually didn't mean to attract this many enemies but it was unexpected. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQG-ZGMmNEo

Just figured out an OP (IMO) weapon combo. Precision muzzle, double lasers, clip fire, and freezing or flame shots. The shots have enough knockback and so much power you can even take out hammerheads in mere seconds. Hyena's become not too much of a threat as well. Combine this with 30% boost speed and 15% regular speed and you are set.

Finished up Season 4 and the game has me clamoring for more. I hope they eventually release more content for it (past season 5). The controls and mechanics are really fun, but atm the game is a lil too easy. Exploiting the strafe and dodge mechanic with the ship and you'll never die. Using the boost, shield, and sword attack in tandem with the mech is ridiculously powerful.

The final fight didn't even feel that intense (though it was a really cool boss fight, looking forward to more of that) because I was just the ship doing large strafe circles around him, constantly shooting and occasionally launching a barrage of missiles until he was dead.

They have a really good thing here with so much more potential content wise.

Couldn't agree more, I just beat S4 too. Lots of potential but it needs different content.

I feel you Zitosilva, I just finished Season 4 and the RNG does play a huge factor. I had a few runs on 4 that were very difficult, but when I beat it my ship was a beast and I had more than enough money for stuff. I too am just disappointed I got through it this quickly. This game desperately needs a more infinite mode.

I think the difficulty really hinges on RNG.

Sorry, what?

Also for those that really find it too easy you could always create some custom difficulty, like no picking up laser upgrades. Or no buying health refills. I don't think the game is too easy, but I think the levels could've had a more ramp up in difficulty, especially Season 2 and 3, they didn't really feel much harder than Season 1.

Game is cool, wish it had button configuration though. I want to play this on my arcade stick.

Apparently some guy was playing on an arcade stick. He did call himself 'crazy' though for doing so. ;)

Just thought I would share a few things I picked up along the way, I'm currently in Season 4.

1. Only use the Mech when applicable, don't go in thinking he's your best weapon and you will own everything. Certain enemies are easier to deal with using the mech, such as frontal shielded enemies. Other enemies can be softened up first with the mech which brings me to my next tip.

2. The mech can be great for a stealth attack. You can hold down the shield and the charge up the sword, then boost towards the back of an enemy and let go of boost. release both buttons and boost around, you can rehold both and do another charged/shield attack before backing away and switching to the ship to finish him off with some shots. The longer you stay in Mech form the more likely you will take some damage in intense dogfights, being only able to shield the front, and no dodge.

3. Don't waste money on rocket refills in the early stages. While later on rockets can be cheap and can be worth it, early on they will only waste your money and make it harder to get those upgrades you need. You can find rockets in the field pretty easily. Do however buy health when you are low, you can find health but it's always a gamble.

4. It's not crucial in the early Seasons but eventually you will want to know good strafing techniques, don't shy away or think the strafe is pointless like GB thought. If you slowly turn while strafing you can circle enemies while consistently aiming at them, you will already be moving out of the way of fire and you can boost/juke to get out of situations.

Anyone else feel free to add some tips, this game is tough.
