I think I usually go back to older games I've dropped if there's a sequel coming.

Like Dragon Age Inquisition, I never finished the Trespasser DLC because I couldn't stand DAI's combat. But now that the 4th game is coming up, I've gone back to make an effort to finish it.

Saints Row the Third seemed very stupid to me at the time, and I immediately brushed it off as something just not for me. But listening to the GB guys talk about it made me want to give it a try.

It was a lot of fun! The stupid stuff I thought would be there was there, but they're few and far between or were at least easy to ignore.

For me, it's not about the difficulty but more about the atmosphere.

I played Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 on PC, and while I enjoy the gameplay, I didn't really like the feeling that you don't belong in that world and are not welcome there.

If I feel that way going into dungeons that's fine, but feeling that way for the entire game is too much for me.

@ll_exile_ll: I pretty much only play on PC, so I thought that's just how all games do movement speed (distinct stages). Do you have a few examples of games with good analog movement? I'm curious to check them out

I think mine is around 120 hours, based on my experience with Pathfinder Kingmaker. I really enjoyed playing it, I loved a lot about it, and didn't find anything to hate. But after 120 hours I just wanted it to be over.

Final Fantasy XIV was the first MMO that I enjoyed playing and came to love. I loved spending time in that world, whether being the hero of the story, or just mining/crafting on the side, or just futzing around with the VinCo folks.

I had to stop when I started a family because I couldn't dedicate that much time to gaming anymore, but I still frequently remember about the great times in Eorzea.

Pathfinder Kingmaker - I've played 120 ish hours so far and I really enjoyed a lot of it but man I just want it to end now.

Dirt 4 - Just started, I tried Forza Horizon 5 and that just made me want to play Dirt.

Wildermyth - I've heard cool things about it, but I don't think I've experienced them yet since I have only played an hour or so.

First game ever was between two DOS games - either Digger or Alley Cat.

What I can remember:

In Digger you play a sort of digging creature or vehicle underground, making tunnels collecting money and avoiding enemies...

In Alley Cat you play an umm... alley cat jumping onto people's window sills, getting inside to catch mice while avoiding dogs...

@banefirelord: I played Dishonored 2 with all quest/objective markers turned off and it was very fun exploring the world that way. It must have taken a lot of hard and smart work to design levels to be completable (is that a word?) - let alone to be fun doing it - without objective markers.
