'Finished' Persona 4; bad ending though :-(

So I finally reach the top of Heaven defeat the killer and save Nanako. All was going well until suddenly Nanako dies, that was a big shock! Still I decide to let the killer live, seems like the best option to me. Then Nanako turns around but Teddie dissapears! Then the game jumps to spring next year, the fog is still around, Nanako is still in the hospital, I leave and everybody is just depressed. :-(

Now I saved on the last day of the final exams so I hope I can still turn this around. Time for some guide reading.

It's all about the dialogue options in that scene where you confront namatame. So just look up the right answers to that and you're golden.

Wait, wait, wait. Nanako lives and Namatame doesn't get thrown in the TV and you got instantly transported to the last day?

That can't be right. It's impossible. The only circumstance in which you should get imminently transported from Dec .3 to the last day is if you throw Namatame in the TV and Nanako stays dead.

No. It is most definitely possible. If you don't push Namatame in the TV, but still think it's him, you lose.

Yeah, if you fail to deduce who the real culprit is on Dec. 5. The OP made it sound like he was immediately moved forward from Dec. 3 to the last day.

Nope. One December 3rd, I did not pick the right choices and had it skip to March 21st.

I wish I could play Persona 4, but after watching the Endurance Run, there's no reason for me to do that. As they played the game the same way as I would have dialogue options and all.

Huh, I did not know that. I stand corrected then. I guess this happens if you choose the "He can still repent" etc choices?

Yeah I went straight to March, I picked (if I remember right):

- wait a second
- We're missing something
- does revenge solve anything?

I'll probably go on and look at the other two bad endings before going for the true ending. Though the ending where Nanako stays death sounds even more depressing.

The OP got the bad ending, where you choose to not throw namatame in the TV, but don't pick the exact responses needed to advance. The ending you are talking about is the very bad ending, which you get by throwing Namatame in the TV.

If you have a save, you can go back and try for a different ending.  You can look up the right responses online if you're curious.

I got the bad ending where Namatame doesn't get thrown into the TV my first time, too.

I got one of the 6 questions wrong.... probably not yelling "Calm the hell down!".
