Brillant game. Left a lasting impression on me leaving me excited for both the PS3 version and ME3
Lost out by a margin. The only open-world game where the world has felt real and populated outside of missions.
Amazing even through the bugs. Improved on everything that made Fallout 3 great.
Great game, with little-to-no flaws, but I didn't feel the same engagement I felt while playing Assassin's Creed 2.
Super Meat Boy is a game made in hell, but enjoyable throughout it's frustration. Plus Meat Boy is my favourite character of the year.
Great entry into the RTS genre. Great single-player and good, competitive multi-player.
What Dead Rising 2 should've been. A great blend of zombie killing with mis-matched weapons and being pushed for time.
(Replacing Green Day: Rock Band) The peak of plastic intrument playing. Between Pro Mode and a great graphical presentation, I'll be surprised if this is ever topped.
A perfect Halo game. Flawed by it's story, but huge gains on the multiplayer side of things.
While short, Limbo shows how style can easily outweigh substance with the most beautiful art I've seen in a game.
