During part of my vacation I stumbled upon a used dvd, video game and book store were I found some amazing deals.
My finds
-True Lies ($3)
-Alien vs Predator ($3)
- 28 weeks Later ($4)
- Johnny was ($3)
- Predator 2 ($5)
- Street fighter Alpha Max 3-psp ($5)
- Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics ($5)
- Doom Collectors Edition- ultimate doom-doom 2-final doom included ($2)
The total came to $30 dollars and I traded in old movies and computer games to get $20 dollars store credit. With the upcoming release of Fallout 3i instantly installed fallout 1 when I got home and tell you the truth I wasn’t really feeling the turn based game play. But after a couple of hours of play I got used to it, but not before I spent half an hour creating my character. The plot is surprisingly bland, you Vault water chip has broken and you need to find a new one. You are then are thrown into a world full of violence ,death and betrayal. I can wait for fallout 3’s story and truly exploring the environments in first person. Playing the game on a laptop with no mouse dint help in the control department so until i get a mouse i cant truly enjoy the game. I cant get fallout 2 to load properly so ill need to download some kind of patch. I played about five minutes of fallout tactics and instantly became bored,i also don't like how you control three characters instead of one.
Playing through the original doom trilogy was a trip down memory lane for me having grown up on the game as a kid. I really enjoy the later levels sense i've never beaten the games before. I've also started reading alot of James Patterson's books particulary the Alex Cross series,i'v only read the first one (CROSS) but i've almost finished another one (Violets are blue) b ut i found 6 other cross books at a yardsale for $2. Whilst being on vacation i'v had lots of free time to go through my friends movie collection and watcha back catolague of movies i always wanted to see but never got around to it (here is that list below with a rating of A-F)
(1941) Maultese Falcon A-
(1951) The Day the Earth Stod Still A-
Alein vs Preditor B-
Hancock D-
Charlie Chan A-
Gone B-
Preditor B
Total Recal C-
Spawn F-
Cherry Crush C-
Kiss or Kill B
The Thin Man B-
Unleashed C-
28 Weeks Later B-
Eraser B-
Fargo A-
Johnny Was B-
the Devils Own A-
A certain trailer that caught my eye on TV last night was Burn After Reading and i really can not wait to go and see it. It has a handful of great actors and actresses and the plot seems hilarious. The night before i left for Vacation i played a couple of hours of Cod4 with Gearhead(Dan) and Brooklyngrenade(Ish) and to be honest it was the best XBL exsperiance i've ever had. We talked and joked about games, music and everything else so i just wanted to thank you guys for a great time lol. Thats all for now but il try to update more often-Jason

So far I’m not really digging Unreal Tournament 3 on the
Xbox 360, the frantic style of game play and huge ridiculous maps really turn
me off. I tried playing the third
capture the flag mission in campaign and spent nearly hour before I said “fuck
this”. I also hate the hover board which
if you get shot while on it, you go flying off and it takes a good 5 or 6
seconds to get back on it.
pretty epic vehicles
After I
gave up on single player I jumped into the multiplayer because I mean come on
who plays UT for the single player, unfortunately it takes for ever to find a
match and connect and by the time you connect its over or there’s 2 kills
left. From reading my impressions you
probably think I’m going to give this game a low score but im thinking about
giving it a 7,because when you finally connect and find people your own skill
level UT 3 is one fucking fun game.
In other news I can’t freaking wait for BCR to come to Xbox
live arcade, I haven’t played the original one but this one looks incredibly
fun.
XBLA Bionic Comando
NES Bionic Comando
--August 13: Bionic Commando Rearmed (800 MS points / $10)
This will be my last blog for 2 weeks because I’m going on
vacation and won’t have a computer. I’ll
be around for two more days to read and comment on your blog’s and stuff, so
keep on gaming and ill post again when I get back.

to much shit on the screen resolves with you're death many times
Schizoid is truly a one of kind game yet that doesn’t mean
it’s for every one. In schizoid single
player mode you play as a blue space ship that is accompanied by a red ship
that can only destroy enemy crabs, blobs and stars that are the same color as
there ship. There are 119 levels for you
and your space cadet to run into and destroy enemies, while acquiring power
up’s, that must be activated by flying into you’re partner to activate. Power ups in clued hyper speed which makes
you’re ship fly faster, a shield that lets you destroy any enemy no matter what
color and the creative razor wire were you and you partner share a strand of
wire that can destroy enemies.
Now the A.I
in single player is less than perfect and this is what holds the single player
back from being great. You’re ally will
countless times get stuck on the environment and die , this wouldn’t be
aproblem if you din’t share lives with the A.I.
Yet thankfully there is co-op over Xbox live or local play, just make
sure you play with co-op with a good friend who is ready for a serious challenge. There is also a mode only for the god’s
called UberSchizoid mode were you control both ships with the thumb sticks that
will truly test you reaction time.
a simpler level, just wait till later when there are 50 enemies on the screen at a time
The
graphics are great, until you run into a different color enemy and you’re ship
explodes (same with you’re ally) sending lighting bolts of your ships color on
the screen, blending in with enemies and the environments causing countless
deaths. You’re ship has a little misty glow
it leaves behind it, and lots of other little details, that show the developers
really care about the quality of this game.
The sound is good but unfortunately there are only a few good tracks
that replay over and over through out the 119 levels.
If you own
an Xbox 360 and have 800 Microsoft points ($10) to spare and have a friend
willing to buy it when you do defiantly pick this gem up. If you don’t have any friends I’d give this
XBLA title a pass.
try playing this on UberSchizoid mode
Score 7/10
Try the trail version first!

So I bought 2,000 Microsoft Points and spent 800pts on Shizoid the puzzle/action
XBLA game. First thing I thought was, ”what
the fuck does Shizoid mean?” well I lookd it up and this is what I got,
“Schizoid personality disorder (SPD) is a personality disorder characterized by a lack
of interest in social relationships, a tendency towards a solitary lifestyle,
secretiveness, and emotional coldness. SPD is reasonably rare compared with
other personality disorders. Its prevalence is estimated at less than 1% of the
general population.”
Orgasmic fun
…..Okay any way what I really like about the game is that it was made from
the ground up as a multiplayer game, meaning to activate certain power up’s you
need to interact with you’re partner and you really need to work together to
fight some enemies. I will have a review
up by Tuesday! I’m not going to ask you
guys what I should spend my other 1,200 pts on like a lot of other people, because
I already have a idea of what I should spend it on.

In Brueges
is kind of like watching a boxing match, its jokes come fast and hard but some
segments are dragged out. In Brueges is
about two hit men (Brendan
Gleeson & Colin Farrell)
who are told by there contractor to lay low in the town of Brueges (it’s in
Belgium!) and wait for a phone call..
Instantly Ray (Farrell) the childlike hit man gets bored and decides
against his bosses orders to convince his friend Ken (Gleeson) to accompany him
on a night of tourism. The laugh factor
here is a little unbalanced in the sense that you’ll laugh a lot but it’s very infrequent. Farrell and Gleeson work very well together
and they actually feel like good friends.
The biggest flaw of the movie is the length; it’s too long and dragged
out clocking in at 1 hour and 47 minutes.
In dragged out scenes the characters start out with a bad joke and go on
for about 5 or 6 minutes, which is very annoying.
This is a definite
rental and no one should miss, just give the movie some time and you’ll laugh
at this dark comedy.
