Although this year was supposed to be a "down" year for video games I feel like we got some decent stuff. Still I played more backlog games than current ones and I feel my top 3 might not hold in other years
Also I haven't played Ragnarok, Elden Ring or Xenoblade 3 yet and fully intend to sometime in a distant future when I have unlimited time to play games ><
Don't think of 40 fps as 30% more than 30fps. The frametime is what is ACTUALLY important - and the frametime of 40fps is exactly in the middle between 30 and 60 fps, it is actually a significant jump. That is why you get diminishing returns after 120fps, which is already only about 8ms of frametime, you need to double fps over and over to get those last ms shaved off.
Using language to create a game with deep learning will probably be the equivalent to "just install unity and use some assets from the store".
I'm convinced you will always need someone to make it "good". The nature of the jobs may change, the environment where you create but I doubt you will get more than a prototype out of this. This itself could be huge but unless you are talking $2 steam hentai / achievementhunter games I highly doubt you will get an AI generated God of War 2077.
