The Future of BLOPS and Tangents

Oh guess another of these are coming out... weird right?
Oh guess another of these are coming out... weird right?

I tend to get confused why people love Zombie Mode or anything related to Treyarch, I mean, I would totally agree on Jeff's sentiment that Zombie Mode really sucks. The fact that in World at War, you get to kill Nazi Zombies via completing the game and it's just plays out to be boring. I cannot stress how much I hate these games specifically Zombie Mode, it's been established already that this mode sucks. World at War was at least interesting to me due to it taking place in World War II which was my niche back then but having Black Ops setting in the Vietnam War/Cold War wasn't fun at all because it's their attempt to modernize what Modern Warfare has done specifically with the modes in the multiplayer... although I thought "One in the Chamber" is kind of clever, the fact that you get a different, better weapon everytime you frag/kill someone but it's just harping on the principle of what makes those games great.

And yeah, Modern Warfare 3 wasn't great at all, the appeal of a Michael Bay influence in it doesn't amaze people the second time even if its more explosions and epic moments and more specifically, the last level where you get to wear a fucking juggerant suit and just plow just Makarov 's men... it's really disappointing how anti-climatic that level is and how dumb and goofy, Makarov 's death is. I mean, this button-mashing moment is just as stupid as the ending of Black Ops and it just kills the ending of the hype leading to both endings. I just love how both levels in these games start, in Black Ops, you find the location of that dude I don't care about's ships and then they set up the scenario of invading them in the Cuba-esque sea, while as in Modern Warfare 3, when you find out the location of Makarov . I think that both ending sucks but at least the Black Ops last level wasn't a cake-walk.

These moments are fun but there is a point where you just get tired of it...

These games represent epic-moments that aren't really exciting any more - from the scripting moments where you get to see something awesome after a ordeal of killing dudes and then BOOM, that scripting moment shanks you and the fact that Treyarch attempts to convey some "realism" (if you think realism is lame-ass cutscenes of Gary Oldman's Russian accent talking to you) and moments that any Modern Warfare game does not have. I just love the first two Modern Warfare games due to the fact that it carries some influences from action movies and makes it awesomer as it is, not having some stupid idea of having Mason being interrogated in the fucking Pentagon, trying to remember what the fuck happen to him before through flashback sequences and GHOST Gary Oldman brainwashing him.

Anyways, there has been reports that the sequel to Black Ops 2 is coming out which I really did not like the idea, it's going to the same shit over and over, and Treyarch's attempt on making a more modern-ass game that of which is generic and harp on many of the features of the Modern Warfare games and shit on them. Seriously, I have people at my college pumping out of this game because they love fucking Zombie Mode or some shit and would love Modern Warfare to burn to the ground. The trailer debut which was released recently shows that they are running out of ideas, that they just ripped off Battlefield 2142 with robot walkers and flying drones/planes that looks like Orchas from Tiberium Wars and whatever the fuck, they develop in the future. It's seriously not cool any more to see... ohh we're in the fucking future where it's a doomsday scenario/Terminator 3 and skynet is taken over the planet... BAH BAH BAH LAME! OH HORSES TOO! ........ This trailer doesn't really sell me on anything even though I am not going to buy this game in the first place, it's just going to be the same on-rail sequences and the same fucking scripted moments, with added explosions and such and the same cool-ass opening for every mission and hopefully the same-ass chasing sequences... WHAT FUCKING MORE I COULD PULL OUT? The trailer even looks generic and cliche as fuck, how many times you see some old veteran talking to you about how war is bad and shit? And more specifically the fact that this game looks like shit, I mean, it looks like Treyarch did not update their engines and even fucking Modern Warfare 3 looks better than this. I am even sick of watching this trailer, seeing those ugly textures and detail in OLD MAN WOOD's face sitting in a NOT-FUTURISTIC wheelchair, I MEAN CMON!!!

To further this tangent, the story from what I seen from the trailer is China and the US fighting for the last remaining source in the world which again, where could we possibility see that? I find that everytime I get pumped to another CoD game, my anticipation often lowers...
