Best of 2011 Honorable List

This is a list for the few and the brave. The games that just quite didn't make the cut. Didn't fully rise to the challenge, but none the less may have had a significant contribution and impact.

  1. Battlefield 3

  Best Multiplayer. Worst Solo.

  2. Gears of War 3

  Solo is pretty meh with a side of ennui. Hoard mode and multiplayer keep things lively.

  3. Dead Space 2

  Worth a solid run, but is remarkably unremarkable. Not the least bit frightening and in no way able to poke its way into your cranium, like a good psychological horror story would do. Or rather, if it were to poke into your cranium, it would be a solid, unsubtle skullfuck through your eye socket.
