Computer Ordered

I just placed an order for Kickass (the name I'm giving my new computer).  The order total before tax was exactly $2142, which is crazy considering Battlefield 2142 is one of my favorite PC games.

final specs for those interested:
Intel Core i7 2.66GHz
Dual 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
6GB RAM at 1066MHz
64-bit Vista Home Premium
500GB SATA HDD
by Alienware

BF2 > BF2142
And my PC blows that away. Seeing that I have the exact same specs, able to play Crysis on full specs, with average framerate as 70, and I am using XP. : P

Yeah Alienware products are notorious for being overpriced and oversized.

64-Bit vista has more problems than 32 bit, but that costs $100 dollars
GeForce 9800 GT costs $125 dollars, so double that and it's $250 dollars
6GB of ram would cost around $180 dollars
I bought my Terabyte external harddrive for $200 dollars, so I can only assume 500GB would be $100 dollars
Processor is expensive as hell, $300 dollars (unnecessary)

So you're up to $930 dollars if you had pieced it together by yourself. Add in a motherboard for an extra $100 and that's $1,030, and the case is probably $20 bucks, $1,050. So you've effectively wasted $1,092 dollars. Which you could've bought a monitor with ($400 dollars) and 14 games for your PC.

I'm not trying to say "lawl i is betr than u" but future reference: Don't ever use Alienware, Dell has better deals.
