This rules, thank you! I want to see an “oops all drawing” episode with Jess, Abby, David, and Aura. At the very least get some of the one-time contestants back in to see where they stand in the lists.

I do have stats for all the one-off appearances, but just didn't include them in the toplists. I probably can scrounge up best single performances and stuff later on if it's wanted.

So I've been keeping track of the wins and losses of the Giant Bomb version of Arcade Pit since it started, and now that we are thirty games into the GB games (there are SEVEN YEARS of Smight's regular series that would take me ages to catch up, so I'm leaving it alone until I feel otherwise), I wanted to give a look at what I've determined so far about overall performances of the GB cast, the guests that have had multiple appearances, and the (current) one-shot appearances.

Before I go into statistical breakdowns, I wanted to point three particular things.

Jan Ochoa is the GB Arcade Pit Mendoza Line

I guess technically 'The Mendoza Line' means the point that is generally acceptable when it comes to stats. I'm kinda using it as the middle-of-the-field here, because honestly Jan's played so much that he's become the line that divides the stronger players from the less good performances. He has played in 14 of the 30 games and (kinda by default) is the winningest player in GB Pit by just about EVERY STATISTIC I've kept track of. He's also the losingest (kinda by default) as well. In just about every statistic, he is middle or so among the 20 players that have played in 2 or more Arcade Pits. He is 6-8 in full game win-loss, which is around 13th. In Team Game Challenges (which I'll explain how I'm diving that later), he's at .500, putting him at a tie for effectively the middle of the road. He's 9th in single player game challenges, but above average in Trivia Challenges. He is also 6th in Drawing Challenges, but I'm willing to determine to that is according to my second point (I will saying he's definitely had to guess right for the record to be great, but there's another reason).

All Hail Voidburger, The Bestest Drawerer

Jan's early teammate, Jess is undeniably the best Drawing Challenge player in GB Arcade Pit. Technically, David Galindo and Sparklykiss both share undefeated records in Art so far, but their combined 4 total pits with 8 drawing wins still feels short to Jess, who has played 8 pits and has won twenty of her twenty-four art games. Until either of them take one from Jess, I'm hesitant to call the top spot for either right now.

The GB Arcade Pit Undefeated SquadTeamGangClub

There are currently five undefeated contestants in GB Pit: Dan Ryckert, Niki Grayson, Harris Foster, Sparklykiss, & TieTuesday. With the exception of Tie (3 wins), all of them are 2-0. Tie's overall record (including the regular Sunday Arcade Pits not on Giant Bomb) does indeed have losses, but he's still pretty fucking good at this. Ben Pack TECHNICALLY could contest one of Niki's wins, as Smight did make a scoring error on a challenge. A 5-point win should have been a draw, but it's gone into the books as a win for Niki. I can only hope for a rematch one day to potentially correct it, but Niki's undefeated despite the mistake.

Okay, now the individual breakdowns:

Team Game Challenges

While there are challenges called 'Team Battle', I decided to separate those from the Team Game W-L records because they are technically one player against another on the other team. I've set those into a 'Head-To-Head' section. Team Game Challenges in my case are the opening and closing challenges where all 4 players compete to win and the Relay Race challenges. Whoever gets first gets the victory for their team in my stat tracking. The last game does give points for second place, but I'm not tracking that here.

Ten Best Team Game Challenge Contestants (Minimum 2 Pits played)

ContestantRecordWin %
Harris Foster5-0100
Jeff Gerstmann10-376.9
Sparklykiss3-175
Dan Ryckert2-166.6
Ben Pack4-266.6
Jason Oestreicher11-761.1
Jesse Vitelli3-260
Jeff Grubb5-455.5
David Galindo & Abby Russell3-350
Jan Ochoa18-1850

Individual & Head-To Head Game Challenges

All the single player challenges are divided into two seperate fields: The regular Gamebler, Difficulty Spike, VG Hustle, & Feelin' Sad challenges fit into Individual Challenges. Team Battles and Test Your Smights go into Head-to-Head.

I would also like to point this out so it doesn't sound like I'm being hard on Jan: JAN OCHOA IS STILL THE ONLY PLAYER TO BEST SMIGHT IN TEST YOUR SMIGHT.

Ten Best Individual Game Challenge Contestants (Minimum 2 Pits Played)

ContestantRecordWin%
Ben Pack3-175
Dan Ryckert2-166.6
Niki Grayson2-166.6
Jason Oestriecher1-150
Abby Russell1-150
Mike Minotti2-250
Tamoor Hussein3-443
Jeff Gerstmann2-433.3
Jan Ochoa6-1332
David Galindo1-420

For the record, thirty-three contestants have not won any Individual challenge they participated. This includes that Rorie has lost all eight that he played and Bakalar lost all 6 he played.

Ten Best Head-To-Head Challenge Contestants (Minimum 2 Pits Played)

ContestantRecordWin%
Ben Pack1-0100
Tamoor Hussein3-175
Jeff Grubb2-166.6
Jason Oestreicher2-250
Dan Ryckert1-150
TieTuesday2-250
Jan Ochoa4-544.4
Jess O'Brien2-340
Jeff Gerstmann1-233.3
David Galindo1-233.3

And now, a combined record of both individual and H2H challenges.

Ten Best Single Player Challenge (Ind & H2H) Contestants (Min. 2 Pits)

ContestantRecordWin%
Ben Pack4-180
Niki Grayson2-166.6
Dan Ryckert3-260
Tamoor Hussein6-554.5
Mike Minotti2-250
Jason Oestreicher3-350
Jeff Grubb2-340
TieTuesday2-340
Jan Ochoa10-1835.7
Jeff Gerstmann3-533.3

And Now The Best Overall Game Challenge Record (Min 2 Pits)

ContestantRecordWin%
Ben Pack8-373
Dan Ryckert7-463.6
Jeff Gerstmann13-959.1
Jason Oestreicher14-1058.3
Jeff Grubb7-750
Harris Foster5-550
Mike Minotti6-746.2
Abby Russell4-544.4
Jan Ochoa28-3643.8
Tamoor Hussein11-1542.3

I will point out that Try from My Life In Gaming has a 5-1 record in the one Pit he was in. It's the best single performance to date.

Trivia Challenges

I applied Quizzler, Quizzler Blitz, Screencrap, its Snailser variants, and Quizzundrum to this one. Also, when it comes to Screencrap, I'm adding correct answers to the other team when they steal the answers from the answering team. I had a couple of other trivia stats, but my parameters were subjective and will therefore hold off on those for now. So, just a correct answer percentage at the moment.

ContestantCorrect/Total AnswersAccuracy %
Harris Foster15/2171.43
Niki Grayson17/2860.71
TieTuesday15/2560
Dan Ryckert6/1154.5
Tamoor Hussein21/4052.5
Jan Ochoa48/10645.3
Michael Higham8/1844
Jason Oestreicher30/6844.1
Matt Rorie12/2941.4
Jess O'Brien25/6240.3

Drawing Challenges

When it comes to Battle Drawyale and Quad Draw, I'm giving the first place vote the win for both them and their teammate. This also includes the Snailser variants.

ContestantWins/Total ChallengesWin%
David Galindo5/5100
Sparklykiss3/3100
Jess O'Brien18/2281.8
TieTuesday6/875
Abby Russell3/475
Dan Ryckert4/666.6
Michael Higham4/666.6
Jan Ochoa23/3663.9
Mike Minotti3/560
Jeff Grubb4/757.1

Assorted Challenges (Snailser/Test Your Smight/AI Arena)

The numbers here are a little smaller, although the Snailser does include each individual quiz answer as a separate number to track. Therefore, Snailser Screencraps have made some players have many more than others. Jan has had 21 Snailser challenges compared to 2 for Lucy, for example. Tamoor technically has the best win percentage here, but he's only participated in one Snailser challenge. After that, Harris Foster is 3-of-4 and Sparklykiss is 3-for-5.

As for Test Your Smight, of the 19 people who have faced him, only Jan has bested him. He is also only 1 of 3 people (Rorie, Bakalar) to face him more than once. Jan got him once, but Smight got him 4 times.

There are multiple folks that have won AI Arena and not lost, but only seven have won more than once. Jan is the winningest with 6 AI victories (but also the losingest with 5), but the best win percentage goes to Jess. She is 5-1 when calling on the robots. Also, for a effectively an RNG challenge, Lucy and Bakalar have never won any of their 3 chances.

Okay, that's it. I can indulge other findings at another time. Hope y'all like this and I'm looking forward to seeing who else gets in on this and who improves their record!

I just some morning show bullshit segment that was talking about preserving your jack o' lantern pumpkins through the month and whatnot. I thought having them rot on your porch was part of the spooky season thing. Isn't it?

For good vibes, check out Nextlander. Sorry, GB.

Saying to check out a team with BRAD MOTHERFUCKING SHOEMAKER for 'good vibes' is the most laughable shit in the world.

Ben said he felt like he needed to play/act a certain way during streams and the like, and I found that weird because I genuinely like how he spoke about games he played and the news going on during each Bombcast because it was about as off-the-cuff and natural as he ever sounds in GB shows. I get it, though. There's a lot of push to (even a little bit) play a part in internet content because of the potential of internet assholes saying things about you, one way or another. I include myself in that, as I got blocked by Ben on Twitter around the time his Spider-Man review came out (I swear this is not me asking him to unblock. Everybody's gotta a point where they act like a shithead online and this counts for me. Ben doesn't need me in his ats, so I'm fine with it). I definitely feel bad if my response to something he wrote or did on stream led him to wanting to get away from it. You gotta remember it's okay to dislike stuff, but maybe you don't have to project that at the people who make it if it's not constructive. Like, I know better more often than not, but everybody can have moments where they ignore that. Generally speaking, we all got be better at that and I know I'm still doing my best to not act out.

Good luck with the next step, whatever it may be, and hopefully we didn't shake you up that much.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010)

Saw it during Thanksgiving. I kinda had low hopes for it. As a 'shlub saves the world and gets the girl' movie that really only had to give me Nicholas Cage screwing around and chewing the scenery to have any value, it didn't even really do that.
