Super tight platformer from the Tower Fall people. Music is sweet. Seems very tricky but super satisfying when you navigate your way through the pitfalls. It also has a surprisingly deep story with fun characters for a platformer.

Viking themed strategy game akin to War Craft/Star Craft with units, resources, structures. You gotta survive them harsh Viking woods man: Dire wolves, undead dudes.

More Vikings! Roguelite strategy island defense game. You play a tribe of Nordic dudes escaping invading bad Nordic dudes as you flee from island to island. But along the way you have to defend yourself from wave upon wave of Bad Dude Nordic Thunder. Along the way you can get additional unit types and upgrades but the control is simple- strategically move and place your units around the island to most effectively defend yourself and defeat the Bad Dudes.

Roguelite (Roguevania!!), 2D hack and slash platformer. Per the game type you have to work your way to the final boss in one go. Definitely reminds me of a Castlevania since the setting is a haunted castle of sorts. Lots of weapons (swords, bows, magic) and upgrades to have fun with. It is supposedly quite challenging so we could establish the 2nd or 3rd boss as the completion point for the purposes of the VG Book Club.

Strategy Shooter. FPS but you have to make decisions along the way to lead your band of criminals to freedom. And it’s in SPACE! Doesn’t come out on Switch until May 7th so we’d have to wait on that.
