I finally picked up Resident Evil 5 and Burnout Paradise at quite a bargain price and started Resident Evil. The first thing that struck me is how good this game looks it really gave me hope for my 360s longevity because it is clear a lot of developers havnt reached this level yet. At first I also got extremely frustrated as Sheva died twice on me and I began to think the whole game would be an escort mission. However, this was the only occasion when she has failed me. I seem to be getting through it pretty quickly but hopefully the game will have a good length and I can already see the replayability. Overall I am extremely impressed with Resi 5 so far it really reminded me what I loved so much about Resident Evil 4. Once you settle in you also completely forget the fact that you cant move and shoot and the gameplay is also solid although the new inventory system is a little clunky. I also love the loading screens which fill you in on the history of Resident Evil which is good for newcomers to the series like myself. Expect to here more about my progress soon finishing with a review.
