I can't believe this is the first topic on this game since release... But I just thought I would say that this is an amazing game. Definitely the best in the series. All the music is really great, and the games they bring back, they make better (Screwbots, for instance, which is made much better by speeding up the pace of the game from Fillbots). Also, it's freaking hilarious at times... For the first couple of days it was hard to find, but hopefully it's out there now so that everyone can get their hands on it... Anyone else playing this? Is there just not much interest in this game?
Rhythm Heaven Fever
Game » consists of 8 releases. Released Jul 21, 2011
Rhythm Heaven Fever is a minigame collection for the Nintendo Wii centered around keeping in rhythm.
This is an amazing game.
@FluxWaveZ: You could buy it, dump it and play it on Dolphin. It doesn't use any motion controls, only thing you'd have to worry about is how well it works on Dolphin. Although there's some audio delay with emulation so that may not be the best for a rhythm game.
I was finally able to hunt down a copy yesterday, and got to play for about an hour. Pretty much exactly what I expected - lots of fun. Double Date (which involves kicking balls away from some weasels) and the Seesaw game are probably my favorites so far.
I got to the Monkey Watch level and couldn't figure out the timing at all, so I got frustrated and took a break. Those offbeat pink monkeys throw everything off for me; maybe I'm just rhythmically challenged or something. If anyone has any tips, that would be delightful.
@TentPole: I had trouble with the golf game of all things. I could only do it looking away from my monitor. The visuals trip me up.
@MasturbatingestBear: It doesn't feel like it requires quite as much precision with the timing as the previous entries, and if you fail a song three times, you get to watch a perfect playthrough or skip (except I don't think you get that option on the last three tiers).
To me, it still just all comes down to whether or not you can hear/feel the rhythm, and inevitably there will be a few that you'll have trouble with just because the beat doesn't immediately click with you (like god damn Love Rap, for instance).
Watched the Quick Look, went to sleep, got up real early in the morning, went to buy it, got to the store, bought it, went home, and man, was that a fun time.
Played it with my brother and my little sister, and we just had a blast.
The game is just so much fun, great music, funny cute visuals, and just a breath of fresh air.
It's the type of game that reminds of why i love video games.
If you own a Wii, it's a must play.
Anyone considering buying this to play on dolphin, you should ensure you've got a strong enough computer. There's two audio options, HLE, which keeps the timing spot on, but the audio occasionally drops out mid song. Or LLE, which add's a SLIGHT lag but it's really tough for a rhythm game, makes the sound not drop out, but it's much more taxing on a system.
Also, it hangs on remix 6, so I recommend getting a completed save file and just playing it like you would if it was your first time. This games a BLAST, and I'm loving it.

Still can't get past monkey watch.
At first it wasn't easy, but with that game you kinda have to stop looking for visual cues and just focus on the rhythm, the visual cues kinda trow you off rhythm, but i guess taht's the point.
That Remix was the hardest one for me, and i'm on the 6th Remix now.
The games after the second row, seem to be easier, but i think i'm just better at the game now, after beating teh first two rows.
But it's probably going to get harder from now on, i'm on the 6th Remix, but i haven't tried it yet.
I agree, this is an amazing game!
I'm almost to remix 6 now, and I've got medals on 24 out of 29 songs. That's not to say I found it particularly easy, I had to go back up to 7or 8 times on some songs after I OK'd them, though I aced a few on my first run. As BPRJCTX says, you have to ignore the stupendous visuals and listen for the audio cues.
Overall it feels like the button timing is a lot less forgiving than the DS game--I'm always early--but the threshold for a super score feels significantly lower.
It feels weird that a Rhythm game is the one thing on the Wii I'm truly excited to play. It looks fucking great.
Anyone one know if it works good on dolphin though? I've already ordered the Wii copy but this seems like something I would like to play in chunks while waiting for a LoL game to start or something.
