    Robbie Bach's retirement from Microsoft was leaked by an internal memo and later confirmed by a press release from Steve Ballmer.   
     
    Bach witnessed the creation and launch of both Xbox consoles, Xbox Live, Windows Office, Halo, Windows as a player in the mobile phone market, Zune and other projects.  He will continue with Microsoft until the fall of 2010, when he will retire to focus on family and charity.
