    Runes of Magic Review

This is my first review and if your reading this because you can not decide wether or not to download the this 3 gig MMORPG game let me tell you now, GET IT!!!
Basically this game is a free WoW (world of warcraft) with a few added stuff.
So il start from the beggining, after installing the game, which takes  a long time, you first get to pick your server, there are PvP and PvE servers with no mix of the 2 like in WoW i personally went with PvE since it was gona be my first time but just because it is a PvE server does not mean you can only play the Environment you can still fight each other you just have to flag yourself as "PvP" or you can request a dual with someone, later when you join a guild you can have guild wars once you get your guild to a certain level which il explain.
So after selecting your server you then create your carrecter and select your class (i chose a mage) out of the current 6 classes: Mage, Priest, Knight, Warrior (theres a difference from knight), Scout, and Rouge (theres a difference from scout) and heres where one of the big features of the game that really define it is the dual class system where after lvl 10 you are allowed to chose a secondary class, which has to be leveled individually and you can only use certain skills since its your secondary but you may switch your primary with your seconday granting you full acess to that class skill but only allowing certain skills from your previously primary class. the only complaint i have about this system is that you cant change your seconday class to a new class after selecting it :( . So a Mage/Priest cant switch to a Mage/Knight but you can switch to a Priest/Mage. Not only does this system provide a whole new level of gameplay but it also redifines MMORPG PvP experiences since their will be more variety among players as to skills, strengths, and weaknesses but what makes PvP even more uniqe is that your skills dont get stronger as you lvl but rather when you lvl you get a certain amount of "TP" (talent points) to assign to certain skills allowing you to make that specific skill stronger.
The guild function in this game is also very special as when you start off you have a ranking for each member of the guild which only the leader or high ranking players in the clan can change your clan lvl is obviously 1 when you start but by donating resources such as in-game money, herbs, wood, and/or ore your clan lvl increases when a certain amount of resources are reached. Once you reach lvl 8 in your guild you can estalish a guild castle which is completly customizable with turrets, traps, and defences for guild wars, clan storages and more.
I would go on with this review but it would be easier if you just go to their website www.RunesofMagic.com and check out the stuff their.

Enough to compete with most Subscription Based MMORPGs 0

Back in 2004, Blizzard left a dent on the MMORPG market with its release of World of Warcraft.  WoW pulled the genre into the mainstream completely, and at the same time inspired the Taiwan Based Developers of Runes of Magic, Runewaker, into developing an MMORPG that follows suite with feature that WoW uses, and a select few other Subscription Based MMORPGs.  The development of Radiant Arcadia(the Asian Version's title) began.  Frogster Interactive later picked up the license to publish/distribu...

A free MMORPG that has potential to easily compete with WoW. 0

Runes of Magic is a free to play MMORPG that has the potential to easily compete with subscription based games like World of Warcraft. With the quality of its content, amazing list of features, and steady implementation of new content and patches, Runes of Magic is not an experience to be missed. Anyone willing to shrug Runes of Magic off purely because it's free to play, will be missing out on one of the best MMORPG experiences ever created. Perfect World International was an impressive free to...
