I'm a few hours in so far, and it seems like a fairly well thought out management game in the vein of Thea: The Awakening or similar. The graphics are fairly static, but it's surprising how easily you can get attached to a character that just has a name and portrait.

My only gripe so far is that it's hard - real hard. The difficulty seems to spike on Normal around the 4th age or so, and your crafting slaves workers get bogged down in all the prerequisite items you need to make good stuff. There's also a tendency to concentrate all military training on a few people, and while they become fairly overpowered, the amount of enemies the game throws at you later on means that any regular old woodcutters or other assorted peasantry get rolled pretty fast.

Has anyone else tried it out?
