I still re listen to All Systems Goku at the gym occasionally. So excited for this.

Seems like they are covering the first 2 story arcs (Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency). I really hope they continue into the Stardust Crusaders arc because it gets even more wild. I'm excited!!

Very excited for this. I watched the first season last year and have been meaning to go back and watch the rest, and this seems like the kick I needed.

I'm so excited for this and am happy to hear they are also excited, Jojo is fantastic and I felt it was too easily dismissed outhand when recommended to Jeff and Dan a few years ago.

I will say that 3 episodes sounds a little slim per podcast but I'm sure that's open to adjustment should it be needed. Have fun!

Although the name implies both Jeffs on the show, I'm skeptical that Gerstmann would be as receptive to JJBA as he was with DBZ. I might be wrong about that, but that's the feeling I get.

I think this is a good crew for the series. The chemistry from The Very Online Show should carry well into the podcast with the guidance of John's deep knowledge. Having varying degrees of familiarity is fertile grounds for fun discussion.

I am very excited to have a specific reason to watch a show & be guaranteed people I like listening to will be talking about it. Hype.

JoJo is definitely one of the best animes I've seen simply because it's so... Unique? It also barely has any of the gross shit anime is known for.

Shame it's only the first two parts because I think it only gets better, but I guess it can't be helped, as with recap it would take forever.

Also wish Gerstmann would be here, as I thought the name implied, though.

@misterreese: Funnily enough, this episode is what made me more interested in the show after Stands were introduced in a fairly boring way, to me. While gross in a way this show never becomes afterward, it shows that it can basically be something like Futurama or Doctor Who in terms of sheer creativity.

I am soooo hyped for this. Looking forward to this podcast.

I really hope this goes all the way through, I honestly don't think you can claim you have watched Jojo's until you've watched at least Stardust Crusaders.

I have no interest in ASG but you know what? I think I might listen to this impending show. I was half-expecting to write this feature off but I'm actually more receptive now that I know JB and Lucy are the ones being led through it. I've loved JoJo for a long time and was overjoyed back in 2012 when it was finally getting the production it so richly deserved. The first part in particular is quite excellent when you understand that it really is an 80's anime with 2012 animation.

If they're enjoying the first (extremely dry) part of JJBA this much...hoo boy they're in for a ride.

Jeff already said he will not touch jo jo with a pole, he thinks the art is creepy. Funny enough, I think his favorite part would be the gangster boys in italy or girls in prison cause the final ending to that part is his kinda crazy. He'd write it off as generic if he watched part 1 or 2 or 3. But those are my guesses.

@klecktacular: depends, i find some people like part 1 then hate other stuff. Some hate 3 cause the power system change others hate part 4, its really a mix bag and akin to people not enjoying an arc of a series i guess. Sadly the not enjoying an arc turns into a war and people dropping the show etc.

I took a college course wherein a dude very proudly showed me a Jojo tattoo on his chest (of a star, I think) and I was very weirded out. Maybe it's time to check out this show and its scary art style.

Showing up and finding Jeff Bakalar and Super Eyepatch Wolf in a show together is disturbing. It's like a Scooby Doo crossover with Ash and Pikachu.
