@mrgreenman: Proper version isn't up yet, this is still the stream archive, which they use to get stuff up ASAP, while the compressor etc. runs. It'll get swapped out for the proper version when it's ready and you'll be able to download

This is obviously their way of letting us know that the D-SNIDE cloning program has been a success and will be used to permanently fill the current staff vacancy.

I remember the hoops we had to jump through to get this thing running on modern PCs, and then GOG just shows up one day with it running perfectly. I think it's running in SCUMMVM.

I get that they're using the guide to move things along, but I do really miss them actually figuring things out for themselves (like in Nancy Drew, for example).

The game is actually fairly good about allowing to progress without every single piece of evidence.

Why doesn't this video show up in the Roku app?

The last version of Blade Runner either Vinny or Alex watched was whatever cut Max and Chloe watched when they did the Life Is Strange playdate (I watched that particular stream maybe a couple weeks ago so it's pretty fresh in my head).

It seems there's multiple technical issues with this video. I'm unable to download it, find it on the Roku app, or get it to cast to Chromecast correctly.

There's never been a movie I've wanted to love more than Blade Runner. I go back to it every couple years trying to find the love for it. Love 2049, though, so one of these days maybe I'll finally "get" the original.

@vinny Did you do the "toy dog" thing on purpose at 16:54? I just went back to the original video of this with you, Dave, and Drew in 2012, and you did the exact same toy dog thing at this part of the game, haha. (17:20 mark on that video for anyone interested)

I literally gasped when I saw this thumbnail. The two Random PC Game videos from 2012 are some of my all-time favourite Giant Bomb content. Can’t wait to see them hopefully continue it here to a degree (I’ll miss Dave and Drew dearly on this one).

I believe that's because those only pull when they are released with the real archive. This is the "automatic" archive and will eventually be deleted and replaced by the official archive. You can easily see if something is the real archive by checking on the "Latest" page on the website and if the time is listed, it's real.

Hopefully the download options will be fixed after the weekend.

I think the Designer's Cut option is ticked? That might be why you don't get some of the narration in Act One. I think it's meant to be a joke about the Blade Runner Director's Cut? It shouldn't affect anything past Act 1 though.

Just rewatched 2049 for the first time since I saw it in theaters and was amazed at how good it is. I mean he really nailed Blade Runner while at the same time doing something that felt completely different from the original. Really curious about his take on Dune.

@colonelxanders: No designer cut is more meant as a kinda gameplus?, it cut's of alot of the xtra talking, so you only have the essential, don't know why you ever wanted to cut that of, as that is where all the good things are.

So my suggestion to @vinny and @alex is to deactivated it, if you want to hear everything :)

@vinny@alex: One of my favorite IMDb facts about this game is that your boss, Guzza, is voiced by Jeff Garlin!

Also, like @elwood said, the Designer's Cut option is basically for people who've already played the game several times or want to speed through the primary story beats. Without it turned on you have a lot more dialogue options and extraneous vamping by McCoy and other characters.
