I'm so happy there's a team member that enjoys Pokemon again. I can't watch this during the week because it's on at 1:30 AM, but this is a watch first thing every morning.

Yo, max respect to DG Nick with that Kingler. I've not seen this series before but that got me excited and I'm gonna check out the older videos.

Also, also: watching all those cards, I came to the sad realization that I do not know that many pokemon. I was definitely an OG first 150 child.

That being said, I am way into the idea of watching of card battles. As long as it's not on that iPad.

@janman I pronounce it Are-kay-nine. Since it's a dog and canine or canis is the genus of dog.

@grondhog: As someone who recently-ish turned 30 (this year is moving along too quickly) I'm right there with you. I'm pretty sure my mother has multiple old binders full of cards/duplicates in storage somewhere that Jan opened up in this episode. It was actually quite a nice throwback. Now I just want to download the pinball game again.

The show doesn't put any stress on "canine", so I don't, not that I ever had any compulsion to pronounce it goofy like that. it's simply a flat ar-kuh-nine.

@108: The show also pretends that Magikarp evolves into something pronounced "Garydose" so I don't know if that's really anything to go by...
