How is the performance of Hitman on PS5? I tried Hitman 1 on PS4 and had to stop playing because of the terrible framerate and loading times.

It always weirds me out how people keep gushing about the Persona series' writing. At least P3-P5. They're all relying on common anime tropes I'd had enough of at 12 years old. And that's not getting into the bad VA, lazy translations, the homo/trans-phobia and pedo stuff. I guess some people think student/teacher relationships are OK as long as the teacher is hot enough. Talk about undermining your own themes.

@theonewhoplays: It's much better. Even before Hitman 3 released, Hitman 2 on PS5 loaded a lot faster than PS4. I wouldn't say 3/WOA has any performance issues on PS5.

The Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match was cool as hell.

And regarding Hi-Fi Rush being "short" and $30... I feel like we've forgotten that some of the best games of all time are 10 hours or so. Tying value to bigger budgets and hour counts kind of sucks. These days I might finish a big, long AAA game once or twice, but the value in the past was a game being so damn good that you'd wanna go back to it repeatedly.

Both ways are valid and it feels like we might be finding space for both types of approaches.

I really liked the dynamic in this group for the bombcast. It would be rad to have more Higham and Minotti in the future for bombcasts, they were great!

I don't know who told you that Hi-Fi Rush was short, but they lied. It took me like 16 hours to get through the story on normal, at which point the rest of the game opened up.

This episode was great! Always fun when Minotti is there!

That's it? If this is the quality of the Bombcast going forward I'm done.

Jeff "Rumours" Grubb and his rumour friends make this pretty unlistenable as well. Like why are you guys saying you can't change the controls in Goldeneye on Switch?
Wild to say, but Giant Bomb needs more Giant Bomb, less guests. Sucks that Michael got laid off but so have Giant Bomb staff, and you guys just don't seem to give a shit.

Oh, man. I'm pretty sure the PSVR game Grubb describes is Statik, which is firmly in my top three VR experiences. That's a shame that he's not going to play it, because it is brilliant and I would break land speed records in buying a sequel or continuation of its ideas.

There's actually a really really cool game design ethos consideration around the FF14 news. Third party mods are directly responsible for a kind of self-fulling cycle in WoW that forces the game down the path of raw optimisation and encourages dynamics and toxcicity around being 'good' at the game, and the standard of being 'good' just keeps on shifting higher and higher until you can't meaningfully engage in the game without third party tools.

Folding Ideas talked about it in 'Why It's Rude to Suck at Warcraft' and it's actually really interesting to see the FF14 devs taking a hardline stance to stop that slide while it's still containable

I always enjoy the bombcast but I really wish that they would, when talking about a game, mention the name of the game more often. I feel like I was hearing a great description of A Space for the Unbound but the name of it was mentioned once at the very start. It's just been a pet peeve of mine throughout every bombcast.
