why is it that nobody here says nothing about gta v, seems to me that rockstar didnt invite any of this guys to the previews, is really disapointing not having coverage of one of the best games this year.

These guys aren't journalists, they are translators. They translated for example Fire Emblem Awakening, Skulls of the Shogun and Metal Gear Rising ;)

Do people listen to this podcast? If so, is it any good?

Wait, is this about Mother 4 actually being announced, or just a "wouldn't it be cool if" scenario? And I'd go with Earthbound 3, since Mother 3 directly references the plot of Mother 2 (the movie theater and Porky's general presence).

@legion_ Yeah its actually pretty good. Its quite specific to it's audience though, so its not for everyone. They focus mainly on Japan and the Japanese game market.

I just recently got a Vita (playing the shit out of P4G) but man, how awesome would La-Mulana be on the Vita? I played a bit of it on PC and it was fun but for some reason it feels like it would be a fantastic handheld game.

No, but he probably has the concept as most of us do, that only journalists are those that get invited to previews. Certainly not a localisation team based in Japan.

"Pop culture" is not "culture", and Japanese culture is not weird in any sense. It is in fact stiflingly conservative.

Our fucking pop culture is just as weird as theirs. We've got the same dumb internet shit as they do, and there is significant crossover; pretending that the West is some friendly, boring, vanilla place and Japan a bizarre fantasyland is a too-common misperception - from the other end, you'd doubtless think the opposite.

@abendlaender: maybe thats why they had a seperate video segment talking about it, but still it would be nice to hear other dudes chiming in on it. And I dont think skulls of the shogun needed much translating, that game was pretty simple.
