We weren't really allowed video games when I was a kid, so the first console I owned was a Dreamcast. I got it for £20, 5 years after it was discontinued. I mostly just played a lot of Soulcalibur.

Emily's story about her being told she couldn't play as Tails anymore broke my heart.

The surreal moment when Knuckles is reviewing an album wherein he himself is featured as an esteemed rapper.

This is an unjustifiable conflict of interest and I demand Knuckles' resignation forthright. The first time we needed a distinction between Jeremy's; we didn't have one. We lost that right.

I listened to the four hour version of this album as well, which probably dramatically lowered my opinion of it. However, Sonic music does indeed honk.

Kinda nice to hear some non-gamer folks praising Sonic Adventure 2's soundtrack. People in games media at the time would always talk shit about the "butt rock" or whatever and it came off as lame attempts to seem cool.

The Dreamcast ruled, but Sega ruined their reputation with the Saturn so it only lasted 2 years before they stopped making consoles all together.

If you’re going to do an album by a band that does songs entirely about niche video games you have to go feet first and break hearts by doing Act II: The Father of Death by The Protomen.
