I don't care for the curmudgeonly English person personality and presentation style. Too many of those and they all behave the same way.

Actually that accent isn't too bad for me (I am Canada native). I have more trouble with things like heavy Liverpool scouse.

No. Absolutely not. He, John Bain, is responsible for the success of TotalBiscuit. HE put in the work, applied HIS talent, personality, and business acumen, and HE is to thank for what it is today. Not you, not me, not any other group or individual in the world. He built something that is a success.

To apply the same logic to a different situation, imagine you built a boat so that people could sail around and see new things. However, instead of thanking you, they give thanks to the water. Because without the water, the boat wouldn't float. It's ridiculous.

Better yet, maybe the people all pat themselves on the back. Because without them, who would ride in the boat? Equally ridiculous and equally applicable. And then they get all indignant when the boat builder won't draw their favorite picture on the side, or name it after their kid. It's his boat. Not yours. You just get to use it to see some cool stuff sometimes.

It's entitlement and jealousy that make people feel they have the right to dictate how this man should run his business, and that they somehow had a hand in his success. You did nothing but watch free video content on the Internet. Get over yourself. He thanks you for watching at the end of every video, and that's all he should do.

It's seeems like a kinda interesting talk but they really seem to be talking about nothing. Is there a TL.DR for this video?

The guy made an account just to say that , i mean that has to give him some weight.

Overall a good show and I am liking these guest appearances and I think TB had some interesting things to say, especially regarding his knowledge on YouTube revenue and copyright. Though I don't necessarily agree with his statement that the argument comparing it to movies or tv-shows are completely invalid. I am not going to bother with transformative or derivative debate, just to say that if you watch someone play through the entire first season of Walking Dead, you've seen all that that game has to offer save from where your choices may have been different. But those differences are so insignificant in the grand scheme of things that really, what's your reason for buying the game?

So I do think there are instances where game publishers should have some right to oppose all of the game being on a service and we can't keep throwing out the tired old "get with the times" argument as if that's valid by default. There should obviously be some form of middle ground where everyone gets their due for their work.

Pretty sure he's just having fun when he says "Nights is for hippy assholes," not trying to insult you.

That's just one example of many.

I'm sure he's not trying to insult anyone, but he inadvertently does, with that adamant manner of his.

Yeah. I enjoyed TB's WoW Radio content quite a bit back in the day.

Given that TB is "pro-Gamergate" and a “gross nerd” according to Phil Fish, guess we'll never see him in GB content again.

I found Giant Bomb thanks to this man, surprised I had not seen this video before.

It still hurts to think about. Even though I never met him he still managed to help me with more than just games. The internet is not the same without him.
