@francium34: Really? always thought Jeff disliked Halo and liked COD when it got silly like Advanced warfare's story...dang do i like advanced warfare's silly story. Peirce is big with COD players i heard. Gears...i think he likes most at least before the last 2 games sowered on him. Overall I thought he's a gameplay first guy from his lack of interest in movies etc. Learn something everyday.

Is there any other just Jeff/Abby quicklooks or content? I think this is the first time it has been just these two because of the cross coast stuff kinda like the Vinny/Jan one recently.

I think Jeff and Vinny (Crash 4) need to turn off HDR at a system level for PS5. Everything is washed out. If you turn it off in game, it still is an HDR signal on PS5, just limited to SDR range.

I'm tempted to use my copy that came with my card but I heard the campaign isnt all vn that good and I'll probably never try the multi so seems like a waste. I was born in the 80s so I dont care about this period.

More future stuff, advanced an infinite warfare the best campaigns.

@damodar: I was considering buying this game, but reading Rock, Paper, Shotgun's review of this game kind of stalled me. And my own memories of the Reagan era contributed to that. Crocodile tears on the part of Reagan over collateral damage, indeed. I do remember him getting confused towards the end of his presidency over what country he was in in a tour of South America, not appreciating it might of been indicative of his developing dementia. He was known as Manager Reagan, he knew how to delegate authority, wisely perhaps.

Still though, he was not anything like the present outgoing president. Simply a product of America at that time.

I assume this is on the PS5, and seeing how good this looks is making think about the consoles...

I did not play the campaign with RTX and boy is the section at around 11:38 different. The corridor between the two rooms was just a black hole with no light. The raytraced puddles make a huge difference here which kinda leads me to believe it's an oversight in the level design.

Really wish we had more Jeff and Abby Quick Looks, because they're a fantastic combo. Didn't realise how much Abby kinda vibes with Jeff (see: human centipede) when isolated from the rest of the crew. I don't play CoD but I'd love a stream where these two have a big ol' mp session before Abby goes!

BO:CW feels more arcadey than MW, and I appreciate that.

Time to kill and the quickness of exchanges is what sets it apart for me. MW feels almost Battlefield-like by comparison.

The differences actually make both games viable going forward, rather than one just succeeding another.

Man that texture pop-in during the loading screens is something, huh? Expected better from one of the new consoles.

I dare you to look at three recent quick looks: Call of Duty, Assassin Creed and Demon Souls, then check last year games , and years before...

This is probably the first Jeff/Abby Quick Look we've gotten. Man I wish I could care about CoD...there like they are comfort food types of games, but I think my burn out rate on those games is just about the same with Assassin's Creed games. I wish they innovated beyond the regular rinse and repeat formula. The last one I really liked was the one with the space ship battles because it felt like such a departure from the rest of the series.

Jeff/Abby content is always good and entertaining!

Is it a sign that they are Quick Looking the PS5 version of this game? Will this be the trend for publishers this generation I wonder?

@humanity: According to digital foundry's ac:valhalla and dirt 5 comparison videos, ps5 outperforms xbox series x in third party games so far. It case of dirt 5 there is even more details on ps5 version.

Could be that ps5 api is better, but i guess time will tell.

Surprised there was no mention of Reagan/warcrimes during the campaign, but I guess these games do a decent job of hiding that stuff for the majority of players.

@kopcik: This got me curious since I own a Series X but not a PS5 and have Valhalla so I checked out the video. I have noticed all the performance and graphical issues they mentioned while playing the game on the series x - most noticeably whenever I pull out the torch the framerate drops significantly - but I assumed this was poor optimization on both platforms. Very surprising to see PS5 perform quite a lot better overall. In the past generation you had Xbox doing some things better while PS4 did others better so they would have peaks and valleys in different areas of the same game. In this case PS5 is just better across the board. What I find most surprising about this is that apart from the better SSD on the PS5 I was under the impression that under the hood these consoles were pretty much on par regarding CPU etc. I do wonder if this is a case of poor optimization on Ubisofts part or if the Microsoft box is just genuinely too weak to handle some of these scenes which, you know given this is one of the first games out this generation, is kind of a bad look.

@humanity: don't fret, 3rd party's usually spend more time optimizing whatever system sells more (or in this case what the popular previous generation was) The ps3 had garbage 3rd party support due to the huge numbers the 360 sold. Im not worried about the series x because it's the more powerful system of the two and it wouldn't surprise me as more people buy series x's the 3rd party support will utilize that power.

@kopcik: I believe the PS5 API is very similar to the PS4, whereas the Xbox Series is different enough that it's still giving developers hiccups, and requires some work by Microsoft. It will be interesting to see how things look in a year.

I love how Jeff drops everything to shoot down UAVs. MW2 was really something special. haha

@bobmonkey17: I have it on good authority (a friend of mine who was formerly the head of the "streaming code" department at a AAA dev) that Sony is simply better at optimizing their pipelines than Microsoft. Apparently Microsoft's code is a lot "messier," but the differences aren't huge.
