Playdate: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

I'm all for a hangout with the guys, as I mostly like just listening to them anyway -- though I will say, I am kind of tired of seeing this game.

A feature I've really wanted for a long time now is for Jeff to go back to Dragon Ball FighterZ now that he's watched the series. I think it'd be cool for him to revisit the game and see the great new characters, while trying to explain Dragon Ball Z to Brad, with the help of Ben. I would love to see that as a stream.

@novum: I don't know the episode on hand, but I believe he played the game on a UPF since the podcast? Thart or it was one of the Christmas videos at some point.

@jeff I’ve beat every spec ops mission.. some helpful tips. Run medic, the power to res team members is invaluable. Use overkill with a riot shield and run the perk to increase your medic skill speed by 33%. You also have munitions which definitely come in handy in situations so make sure to set them when able. Good luck.

Whenever I watch people play COD they get a good second of face to face with opponents before someone dies, yet when I play I'm normally dead within a millisecond of those encounters.

Makes me wonder if something's off in my setup - I'm on ethernet, 80 down/15 up, nat moderate - this happen with anyone else?

They always talked in the past how they wanted to play through Snatcher at some point.

@unastrike May be a slight sync issue with the upload (looks like the audio is trailing the visual by a couple frames). Could be on just archive but something to check for future streams! From one prod. guy to another.

@tempa777: YES! I just rewatched that Old Games show, and I've always wanted them to revisit Snatcher. Might be more of a Vinny/Alex joint, though, given that it's pretty text-heavy and would require a lot of patience.

Gonna second another comment. I enjoy the hangout vids, but the CODMW burnout is real.

@lou_chou: It's because of the matchmaking system. Lower skilled players get matched with lower skillled players and higher with higher. I've noticed this a lot when watching other people as well.

I definitely notice the lobbies getting sweatier when I'm on a good run with a few teammates.

@benpack if you get buzzing from your PC audio jack try a ground loop isolator. They're like 10 bucks most places. I have to use one with my Switch to fix its dirty audio

Jeff's and Ben's Phish impressions were spot on and I love it.

@jeff It could be coil whine from your graphics card. Assuming it's a nvidia card, some RTX models have a severe issue when frame rates are high it becomes more pronounced.

@lou_chou: The net code is just bad for COD to be honest. I get over 200mbs/ down, and it is perfect for damn near every game I play except for COD. It's wildly inconsistent.

@tempa777: I agree, I would also really enjoy seeing a Snatcher play through. That would be something different, at least.

@pudge: I don't think he's played DBZF on stream since 2018. I could be wrong, but I just looked through the sites videos for DBZF -- and I didn't see anything new. It's a bummer to me.

I agree with Jeff, it really is weird for a game like this to have seasons.

The only thing I have truly hated about the recent CoD are the update file sizes. 60 gigs? Get the fuck out of here. It takes me days to finish that kind of download when I'm in Peru on a fucking 9 mb/s connection. It sucks.

All of your PCs are haunted. That's the only explanation.
