Let's Minecraft Together!: Episode 02 [Jan's View]

I have no desire to play Minecraft simply because it's not my kind of game but always enjoy watching you all playing it. Really good stuff!

Hey guys. Don't comment too much, but I wanted to say that this is a really welcome feature. Also, having Jan as the observer is a great tweak to a minor issue I had with the last Minecraft stream. Thanks Jan.

Appreciate the GB crew providing new content during these crazy times. It's funny, I never even played Minecraft before. Looks fun, especially with friends. Anyway, stay safe and healthy everyone! Cheers.

Jan being the observer in this works so good.. I loved the last stream but it was hard to watch because theres a lot of different things happening and seeing only 1 is hard. This is great!

If the change the floor to wood or finished stone won't that keep enemies from spawning?

Having Jan as the cameraman was a really cool idea!

I don't think so, but I haven't played in years. I know if you use half blocks monsters won't spawn on them but then you end up with a pretty funky looking base. There's a really good mod out there that let's you hit a button to display a grid that shows you what tiles monsters will spawn on. That was always the one essential mod for me.

Why isn't Brad talking? Is Brad okay? I'm concerned about Brad's well-being.

Vinny's aesthetic choices are endlessly fascinating to me. It's very important that the wood flooring that is put down is symmetric against the cobblestone wall that leads down into the mines but it's fine that the rest of the floor is dirt.

I suspect Brad spawned that house creeper.

I feel like if there was actually something wrong with Brad he wouldn't be here playing Minecraft with the rest of the crew.

Still very much enjoying these.

Playing some Astroneer and watching this led me to looking at the different versions of Minecraft never having played any of it. After careful consideration I've come to the realisation that I'll most likely re-install Terraria after they release the next (/last) big update next week, and put another 100+ hours into that.

To be fair, Ben was probably fine and Jan didn't lie. Ben doomed himself by panicking and trying to make an ill-fated dash back to the water to save himself - but inadvertently stepped back into the lava again, thereby setting himself back on fire and finishing the job. lol. Classic movie death.

It would be great seeing the team try to kill the Ender Dragon some day.

Have Jan be the quest giver and guide them through how to get there :)

Speaking of Terraria, that last update comes out real soon. Looks like I've got yet another playthrough scheduled!

(And if GB wanted to stream that, I'd be all the way down for it.)

@ak1mbo: Going by what I believe LtSquigs (Ian) said in chat he was recovering from surgery/medial procedure which was why he was silent.

This is my fave GB feature right now. Also, did they ever explain why Brad was silent the entire time..?

@hologram: That's kind of an interesting idea. Breaking down something into a bite sized questline would be kinda an interesting way to guide a multiplayer feature. It's super cool that they're just playing minecraft and exploring the parts that they each like most. But, also, it'd be cool to have them all have something to work towards.

Whether that's recreating a build, or beating the game, or whatever. But I'm glad Vinny's redstone messing around ended up being the random catalyst to organically send them to the nether (and start that disaster lol). Pretty cool.

I think Vinny would love building an auto furnace.

Also want to chime in that I love this feature, and the Jan cam is a welcome addition!

Brad 100% spawned that creeper and the way everyone immediately started infighting in order to suss what happened was waaay too real
