Weirdly enough after watching this I just wanted to watch the holiday rockband video from last year just so I could hear Vinny's amazing Man in the Box.

Okay, @alex, you finally sold me on Rock Band 4. I'm a musician and a gamer, but I have never played a plastic instrument game. This weekend I spent about $90 on the Rock Band 4 Rivals bundle and guitar, and as of today I have bought around $50ish dollars more in songs. Despite all of the games I have to catch up on, I have played nothing but this for the past few days. I was awkward at first, but I'm really getting a better feel for it now. I'm looking forward to getting the adapter so I can try to use my electric drum kit to do some of that as well. Well, better late than never, right?

This makes up for you selling me on Proteus a while back during game of the year. ;)

Man, the asshole donors telling people to shut up or complaining about shit always ruin extra life streams for me. There's a fair bit of that this year.

I can't believe I didn't post this earlier.

I used to play a lot of guitar and drums in Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I remember getting to that Johnny Cash song, seeing it was 5/5 difficulty, and thinking it was a mistake before starting the song. Turns out it's complex as hell on top of being physically demanding. Like you said, that studio drummer was a monster.
