These FMVs are so pitch perfect and creative. Plus having this video come out today is great for me since I finally broke down and bought TrackMania 2: Canyon last night. Now I feel like I didn't totally miss the party.

I wonder how many takes Jeff had to do for the Check Yourself award.

Damn, I really didn't expect this stuff to turn out as awesome as it is. I did enjoy it before but this year's features really deliver with the added FMV insanity. And all that content drops in the really dead end of the year window - I couldn't be happier.

I still maintain that knowing any of these tracks in Trackmania 2 by name is weird and unsettling. I prefer facing tracks blindly, but failing that, I think of them more as "the one with a lot of drifting" or "the one with the high speed halfpipe jump and a banked turn at the start." Stuff like that.

Biggest surprise of the 'Biggest Surprise' discussion, was the total lack of mention for Deus Ex: HR. Having recently re-listened to the E3 podcasts, there was a fair amount of shit talking and totally passing over on that game.
