It may be rather inane to call a commercial punk rock, but to hell with it, these ads are so punk rock.

And very Machiavellian.

@poortommy: Glad you like them, but to be clear, these aren't ads. They're produced for radio and run on a selection of CBS-owned or affiliated radio stations. I choose what to talk about and write 'em, then they get made to sound all nice and are shipped off to some online repository where program directions can use them during program breaks.

The info probably isn't all that useful to people here on the site, but I thought people might like to hear them anyway, just to hear what sort of info the "mainstream" is receiving from us.

@jeff: I suppose I have my brain hardwired to associate all radio segments as advertisements of some form. Of course, these Gaming Minutes do not plainly resemble and are not a regular ad for a product, such as your site. What I originally meant to say was that these segments made to bring voice for your website (effectively that is how I see them) will become pretty cool trinkets of history that summarize a particular week in games. I imagine these would be nearly invaluable to someone who wants to submerge in video game ephemera or the very specific pieces of content that lie doggo on this site. And yes, I can confirm that hearing the content relayed to people who may be outside the website is monumentally interesting and cool.

Also, good work on the site as always, Jeff. You and the Bomb are doing a culture a large service.

I think I've mentioned this before, but I really enjoy these short and to-the-point deliveries.

I mean if anything, these are "ads" for Giant BOMB dot com. If you like what you hear, come to our awesome site where we do this sort of stuff, etc etc.

Not since Bioshock Infinite has a popular game received more revisionist history hate.
