Oh man, GUNHED. That movie is kinda great despite the terrible editing. Amazing fucking soundtrack. Too bad the game doesn't have anything to do with the movie beyond showing a GUNHED mech on the title screen.

As a pet reptile owner, I got a little concerned when Jeff reached in to a bag he described as squishy and gingerly began to pull out something clutched between thumb and index finger. If you have ever owned a snake you will know what I am talking about. If you haven't, well, you really don't want to know. :p

GunHed was released as Blazing Lazers in the US and is fucking awesome. Also, R-Type I and R-Type II on the PC Engine are in fact the two halves of the original R-Type. A single HuCard couldn't hold the entire game, so they split it up. They later released a compilation, R-Type Complete on CD. Man, I love the PC-Engine. I hope to see a stream focused around it sooner rather than later.

And that was indeed the Japanese version of Keith Courage. Fun fact, the game was based on a kids cartoon show, which is why the cover is all anime, but in America they ignored all that shit. At least they didn't edit the graphics, the characters still look the same. It helped give the game a charming sense of randomness back in the day.
