It should be illegal for you to have children if you're anti vaccine.

It really depends on your household. If your kids are probably going to be exposed anyway, sure, get the shots, but if you're home-schooled or something, the pediatrician's waiting room can actually be riskier than forgoing the vaccine. Similarly, tetanus shots aren't usually needed by people who live in a city, but if you live in the country around animals and fencing, it's pretty much required. I know your post was probably just hyperbole, but I have met some people who do get hostile about the subject, and I tend to believe that people should make the choice that works for their family.

You guys are a videogame website. Play some videogames and talk about them. Sometimes I think @patrickklepek's the only one playing anything new or interesting these days.

Leave it to these guys to conclude (not assume) that a no-glitch speedrun is any greater a feat of skill than one rife with glitches.

Good lord the meat discussion and fast food stuff is great.

When Jeff mentioned a Carls Jr burger might have Raid on it, I start laughing my ass off at 4 AM.

We don't have Carls Jr or whatever up around here so that was just fantastic to imagine.

I absolutely agree with Jeff though that you can tell fast food burgers apart.

Predators is a perfectly fine action film. Kinda funny how like 70% of that movie is just fanservice to the original, but it has its charm nonetheless. Crazy Laurence Fishburne is a lot of fun.

Chickenpox and the shingles are not the same, but you can get shingles after you have had chickenpox, usually much later in life. From what I understand the chickenpox virus never leave you body once you had it, but it doesn't matter since your immune, however in some cases it can cause shingles.
I had chickenpox as a kid, don't remember much of it, but I did get shingles very recently (couple of years ago when I was 30 years old). My case was fairly mild, but affected my left arm. It started as a strong stinging pain in my joints for a few days before showing up as weird scaley spots around my skin. It was annoying and painful, but not as bad as some people have it.

For those wondering: Awesome Games Done Quick 2014 Vods

I personally recommend:

The TASBlock - The tool-assisted speedruns played back on console Jeff was talking about

F-Zero GX - Simply incredibly impressive, gives the final boss a 26 second head start

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! / Super Punch Out - Players are blindfolded and play on audio cues alone!

Metroid Prime - Highly optimized game, lots of sequence breaks, developer 'Zoid' on skype call

Super Metroid - A nailbiting 4-way race with amazing commentary from two other runners. Even your non-video game playing friends and family will get a kick out of this.

There are probably some other amazing runs in there that I haven't seen yet, like someone beating Mario 64 in 22 minutes one-handed, a 2P vs. 2P race of Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers, and I heard Halo 2 was pretty awesome.

A better reply would just be "herd immunity." I don't think cuuniyevo was talking about Autism at all.

This podcast is awesome every week. I still adore the ongoing debates about magic in Street Fighter. I'm sort of on Jeff's side but there are so many ways you could spin it. Monks don't typically produce projectiles innately in DnD but I guess in 4th edition their abilities are considered psionic in nature? There may have been a prestige class in 3rd edition that could shoot ki as a ranged weapon but the closest one I'm familiar with is the Red Avenger who could do a shout for damage. Don't forget you could also go hybrid class. Maybe in SF2 Ryu and Ken are 1st level sorcerers/ 10th level monks who can cast magic missile. Thanks again for the podcast.

The only reason we use a powerful windows machine is because we play games on Windows. If the Steam Machine played all the games we wouldn't need Windows. You could have a free OS Steam Machine and a cheap Chromebook.

It's dumb. You'll feel like shit after you get it and it still doesn't mean you won't get sick. When I was a kid my parents made me get a flu shot every year for three years in a row. I got sick twice. Now I'm sick about once every two years or so.

I'm never taking a flu shot again. I'm sure there is some evidence that says it decreases chance of getting the flu a tad on large scale population, but I know it doesn't do shit for me or the people around me. It feels like a scam for money to me.

Uh, yeeeeeah, I was ONLY talking about the flu vaccine. I know it's killed many people over the years (mostly people with already weakened immune systems due to age or other illness), but the vast majority of people survive it, and it's usually quite manageable. I've had the flu a few different times over the course of my life and though it sucked, it was never life-threatening.

@cuuniyevo: Heard immunity still applies, man. If less young healthy people are carrying the flu, then less immunocompromised people will be infected. It's that simple.
