The game was enjoyable enough when I first got it and I went through the first few worlds but quickly fell off of it and never went back. I think mainly cause of the sameness of the levels and the art style

A game with such an intriguing title turning out to be just a sidescrolling shooter is kinda dissapointing.

Why do people keep saying that the neon joycons look bad ? It looks way better than boring old gray.

Worse than starting to eat before everyone says Grace?

Being asked to say Grace before a meal when you aren't religious. Still haven't found a graceful way out of that one.

I'm sorry, but the emoji icons in the bottom left of the HUD are way too distracting. It makes me think the developer had the icons as place holders and forgot to refine that element of the HUD.

That said I have never seen anyone say grace is real life ever.

Weren't Ps4 and xbox controllers super expensive on launch too? Again, dunking on nintendo for doing the same thing as the competition seems kinda lame.

@the-nanomachines: yeah at launch the dualshock 4 was 60 euros against 70 for the pro controller. The pro controller also has a much better battery and has hd rumble which works well for some games. Hopefully the prices will start reducing for the holiday season.

Were I live at least the Switch Pro Controller is 80£ while the PS4 controller was around 60£ at launch. I haven`t tried the pro controller, but that seems pretty expensive for what it is. A pair of Joycons (without the grip) are 90£ and the grip on it`s own is 20£. That`s also pretty expensive though to be fair they are so different that I have no idea if they have to charge that much, but it is a pretty steep amount of money to ask customers to shell out.

@the-nanomachines: A) $10 more is still quite a bit more. B) It isn't launch anymore. It doesn't matter what the price was 3.5 years ago. They both exist at the same time today.

@the-nanomachines: maybe special edition controllers, but I thought both the Dualshock 4 and Xbox One controllers where both $60. It's almost been four years so I may be mistaken, but I did work for GameStop at that time so I feel like that would've stood out for me.

@ericsmith: Right that it doesn't matter. I wouldn't stop anyone being frustrated by it.

It should be important to keep in mind the time difference is a factor that contributes to the price difference. I mean, Nintendo definitely wants their cash. But there's stock of PS4/XB1 controllers to dump, and I assume that whatever economies of scale/more mature logistics is helping to lower costs of the PS4/XB1 controllers.

@odinsmana:That isn't great, no, that sounds like a local thing though maybe? I got my pro controller for £60, which is the same amount I got my spare dualshock 4 for when that was brand new as well, so it didn't seem like a big deal at all. There's a lot of technology in these things!

UK Amazon has individual joy cons for £40 and then a pair for £90, which seems.... like some weird supply and demand nonsense really.

@ericsmith: Not really sure what your logic here is. I can buy a Wii remote for £20 right now, does that mean I have to be mad about how much an xbox one pad costs? They both still exist.

@the-nanomachines: I live in Norway, so prices might just be weird, but the Pro controllers are 80£ (or rather the equivalent of that amount based on normal prices here I just use GBP since it`s easier in this context) at all the big online retailers here.

@odinsmana: That's not great. I was fine spending £60 since it's a good controller and I'll use it a lot, but £80 is a harder sell. Sucks to try and buy technology outside america, as always!

Resogun at the PS4 launch was pretty much a new Defender game.

@the-nanomachines: If you want to say that the Wii controller is a contemporary controller, and a peer in quality, I'll let you walk yourself off that plank no problem. The Switch is competing against the Xbone and the PS4. It is currently more expensive, and has more expensive accessories than both of those consoles.

If you can't put that all together, then it's your own issue.

How the fuck does this remind them of Galak-Z and Cave Story? This is clearly Defender-inspired.

Edit: Okay, there it is. Still, I don't see any Galak-Z in this.

What is it with indie games and shaking/moving the screen whenever you shoot or attack? I don't get motion sick from games but I cannot watch that. This game zooms in when you do your melee attack and zooms out when you use your laser and just moves far too much in general.

Got a real Resogun feel to it, from what I can tell. And Resogun was great.

Also, this video almost ended on probably the worst topic possible during my work lunch, but hey, they brought it back in that last minute!

@lawgamer: You could try being polite and declining or following along. No one is asking you to dedicate your life to the lord just show a little gratitude to the big dude. If you would rather not, politely decline or ask that someone else say grace while you stay respectfully quiet.

Probably coming off as condescending but I've never encountered someone making that situation out to be some sort of burden.

As an adult, I mostly forgot people said grace even though we did it religiously growing up...but lately I've found myself in a very awkward situation where I have the rare meals with relatives from my past who even now make comments like the fact that I'm "pathetic" for being an atheist or implying that the reason my life sucks so much or I have struggles with mental health problems is because I don't follow Jesus.

And yet when they start the grace thing and grab hands, I just feel I need to be polite and pretend to do grace with them. I feel like I should probably make it clear I'm not saying grace so as not to not make myself implicit in their cruel religious comments towards me but I don't because it's the sort of rude thing they would do. It's very frustrating despite being such a trivial thing.

Bullet hell? :P Scrubbing through the video, the most bullets I ever saw on-screen at once was maybe 8. More typically it was 1-3. ;)

@cloudymusic: Yeah, good point. :-P

I always think of these as bullet hell, probably cause it's a fun name. I guess this game would be more of a shoot'em up like the old R-Type games. For the low price and the small range of games out for the switch I'm guessing a lot of people have been picking this up. :-)
