Unfinished: Let's Check Out Some Next Fest Demos

Sad he didn't try the Tinykin demo, was absolutely floored by the game after playing it. Highly encourage anyone reading this to try it, it's like a really cool alternate take on Pikmin.

I made my way through a lot of the Steam Next demos but got some new ones to try now, thanks Rorie!

Neon White looks intense and has some interesting gameplay ideas.

Trail-Out seems like a perfectly competent 6,5/10 kind of game that will wow no one, but might scratch an itch. It's also fun to see them actually do some storytelling and cutscenes in a racing game. That's always appreciated here. And it's good to see cars getting damaged badly.

The Machine that breathes seems like it takes some time to get going, but i think i could end up really digging that one. I don't mind how it looks.

Edit: Just played the demo, and sure enough it's totally something i would play. It's somewhat of a metroidvania with horror elements. A lot of dodging enemies and using environmental traps to take care of your enemies, limited ammo, limited inventory and a lot of keycards to collect. Seems neat!

Knight vs Giant seems like it's made by people that know what feels good. Yes, let me run through barrels at high speed and pepper some currency in there to make it worthwhile. Yes, let me fight huge bosses that change up their patterns. Absolutely give me an attack that whacks multiple enemies multiple times. Environmental traps that i can use to take care of the enemies with? Yes please! The only annoyance is that it's so obviously a generated world with little hallways connecting the rooms. But the gameplay looks extremely fun!
