I do specifically remember the show heavily implying ball-faced child was the son of the hero association founder. The hero association is only 3 years old.

I'm surprised they missed the "photo" of the Hero Foundation founder who clearly has a set of balls for a chin. In addition that they explicitly state that the foundation has only been around for 3 years.

I like how antagonistic this pod gets. Also if Tamoor came up with Universal Serial Bussy on the fly he is some kind of monster.

Besides the fun recap parts the tone of this pod has been getting increasingly uncomfortable and unpleasant to listen to tbh, you really don't have to layer the verbal sparring on so thickly, it just makes for a bad podcast experience.

Maybe I’m projecting my own social anxieties and such but I also have been really hating the “let’s say hockey/pinball/key caps a bunch like we’re provoking Jeff for no reason but to use it as a way to then dogpile on Jeff” bits.

I'm fine with the running gag where they dunk on Jeff for having bad opinions, but it starts to distract from the discussion of the show at a certain point. I think having several false starts for the recording probably had them in a more agitated mood than usual.

The Hero Association becomes a bigger part of the plot as time goes on. The satire of Superhero organizations reminds me of The Tick.

Here's the flipbook section from the manga that John mentioned. These were more common earlier on, so maybe Murata was drawing them to attract attention for an animated adaptation.

There was some Golden Ball talk this episode and just wanted to throw out there that (kintama/ golden ball) is a euphemism for testicles.

I kind of agree with some of the above about the fake fighting with Jeff — I get that it’s supposed to be a joke, but it’s just the same joke over and over. I vote for finding a new bit.

But really I came here to express my surprise that they missed that the whole hero organization was created as a result of Saitama saving the ball-chin boy! When they show the photo of the founder with his own enormous ball-chin and say the organization was founded three years ago after the founder’s grandson was saved by an unknown hero, I thought that was pretty clear. Kinda sounded like Jeff and Lucy caught it but were talked out of it by Tamoor and John.
