Mumen Rider is a nice guy but is clearly not an effective hero for fighting monsters. Stick to kittens stuck in trees, kid.

We should all aspire to be Mumen Rider.

This has been a very fun diversion, excited for the next episode to recap the explosive finale but I'm definitely eager to return to JoJo!

I hope those can be made weekly as well, there are a lot of episodes.

@frothy_danube: He does, but he also has the body of an average dude. It's amazing he hasn't been killed several times over by now. I respect his spirit, but he should leave the fighting to others.

When you think about it Mumen Rider wins just as many fights as Genos in the series.

Also if you're current on the webcomic, which is essentially a separate continuity at this point, Mumen Rider has beaten more dragon level threats.

The fight with Melzargard (the goopy ground soldier that takes on the S-Class heroes) is indicative of where the series begins to shift. With dramatic tension becoming impossible to build whenever Saitama is present, the plot starts to focus more on the Hero Association and other characters, so that stakes can actually be raised.

While I think the manga continues to have funny writing and beautiful art, the end of season 1 is a natural stopping point for the anime. I advise against covering season 2. When the studio switches from Madhouse to JC Staff, there is a severe drop in animationquality. Mob Psycho 100 from the same creator would be a better interstitial anime to cover between seasons of JoJo in the future.

@gyratyne: Yeah Mob Psycho 100 rules, very different vibe from OPM but for the better. Incredibly funny, does something more interesting with the OP main hero, and is more in line with One's style.

And its season 2 doesn't disappoint, in fact it's pretty damn good!
The third season is about to start streaming in a couple of months and I'm excited.

How did you skip over the best joke of the show? The heroes asking if the fortune teller was murdered and told no, she choked to death on something. I thought that was killer.

I expected Mumen Rider beef and I was not disappointed

Not sure if you guys talked about it in another edit or maybe missed it, but Atomic Samurai’s apprentice Iaian (ee-eye-an) is a pun based on the sword style of Iaido and the name “Ian” and it’s so dumb and great.

Absolutely loving this whole series and diversion, so grateful to you guys for the amazing work!
