I've been looking forward to this game and this quick look will help he decide to buy i tor not.

Honestly, this game looks a bit dull. I really dig the art style and the minimal music style, but the game itself looks terribly boring.

So what did you decide?

This game looks like a perfect "go-into-meditative-mode" tablet game for long bus/train/airplane trips. The minimialist style really reminds me of the "Hitman/Tomb Raider Go" style of graphics.

I will totally buy this to half play while I watched the X-Files for the millionth time on Netflix. It seems like a good game for that kind of thing.

Will pick this up for iPad when it releases on App Store. Looks fun.

Adding this to my list of games I'll buy when I get a Switch.

Gosh, I almost never buy games day 1 anymore, with Breach being an exception, as I adore the Advance Wars games and FTL. I would have bought this game immediately....if it was only out for IOS or Steam.

The Universim is a god-game coming out this week, doesn't look as zoomed in as populis though

Reprisal Universe is a Populous clone from a few years back. It was decent. Also there was Populous DS, which was a solid version of the game.

This game makes me realize why I didn't like Into the Breach as much as I wanted to. The game never gets mechanically-busy enough for me

@rasrimra: Probably will wait on sale. It’s only 15 bucks and that’s not that bad of a price. But while this game looks fun, it doesn’t seem like there is much variation in the gameplay and I feel I might get bored after a long run.

I was on the fence, but after watching this QL I can tell this is 100% my kind of game. And knowing me, I’m way more likely to play this if it’s on my Switch, as opposed to on my iPad, so I might as well just skip the inevitable and buy it now.

Looks neat. I'll probably pick it up when it comes to iOS.

Ugh, Auskerry in the map at 6:52 looks like it is breathing and it is most unsettling.

Rarely do I go from 'this is nice' to 'getting bored, seen enough, no thanks' in the span of a QL. Good luck with that timed exclusivity on Discord.

@Brad there actually was a really good indie Populous clone with procedural generation back in 2014, called Reprisal Universe.

The art style kind of reminds me of Monument Valley, I really dig it.

This game is fuckin hard! At least it is on "hard".

Enjoying it tho, but Brad is right, a "speed up time" button would be nice. Also when you die it tells you how many dudes you lost, but not how many dudes you killed! Tell me how many people succumbed to my mini murder island!!

You are using those pikemen wrong. Wait one square away from where they're landing, and not directly where they are landing.

Wishlisted on Steam. This looks like it will be great for something to do if I've got a small window in between other things in my day.

Could he deploy less than four on a map, and then play more than one map before the line advances?

Game looks pretty fucking rad, even if it is a fairly short and shallow affair. I *maybe* wish there was some way it wouldn't always be troops landing via ship.

Sigh... sticking to my moratorium on no more games this year (save Smash Ultimate and maybe D3 on Switch).

e: digging mostly everything about the aesthetic and audio too. Hmm, guess my standards are low compared to most everyone here. *shrug*

wonderful presentation. Gameplay, i'm not sure.

This will probably be $5 on iphone instead of $15 like it is on Switch; and without any permanent progression hooks, $5 seems like the right price to me!

Does the angle of attack matter at all in this? Like flanking, attacking from the rear, from an elevated position, etc.
