@pudge: Haven't watched the video yet, but I've thought about how some games might warrant a video by each team. We all know it's about the personalities more than the games, so I'd hate for GB to just "cross off" a game because the other coast played it.

I speak Russian and I have all the answers for those "hopes" you have. This unique blend of translation was achieved by translating the script word by word instead of translating the sentences whole. Perhaps the spoken dialogue was done before they found a translator for the written script. Whomever did it decided to just look up the words in the dictionary and put them in the exact same position they would go in the Russian script. Sadly there is a second problem. The Russian script is not so hot either. It sounds very stilted in Russian and makes only slightly more sense.

The last line in the elevator sequence is "And still, nothing happened like I hoped it would" or something like that.

Take my money, every game is better when GBEast quick looks it.

There was a splashscreen in the beginning with the name of the "translator" of this game. So it's not Google Translate, at least not exclusively. I'm Russian and I've actually worked with a couple of recent graduates who majored in English just like this. I was under the impression that it was the result of local schools being bad, but after watching the video I now think that a lot of higher education establishments are on the same level here.

I apploud Vinny who gave this game a chance even if it didn't deserve it. There's a way to make fun of stuff without being obnoxious and judgemental. Compare and contrast this to some recent quick looks with Drew and Dan...

There's something endearing about terrible games like this.

Also, I never realized that gamebomb.ru was an actual website.
