I really hope Destiny wins most disappointing. Although there are some strong contenders; Watch_Dogs and Titanfall came out this year too.

I don't really understand why people want to wish ill on something just because they didn't like it. Destiny lacked content, sure, but it was still fun enough that tons and tons of people put in hundreds of hours into it anyways. From a hours to dollars ratio, I technically got the most out of money from Destiny, then any other game this year. Do I wish there was more to it? Of course, but games like Titanfall were far more spartan in their content and deserve that title way more then Destiny does.

Titanfall might have hade less content but it was advertised as a multiplayer only game. Destiny was as advertised as an epic game with tons of shit to do and a lot to discover. Titanfall was in no way disappointing since it's a great game that was exactly what they said it would be. And they have added a lot to the game and updated it continuously since release. Titanfall is still by far the best competitive multiplayer game this year.

Sorry, but nothing saves Destiny from being a generic version of Borderlands. Even the less ambiguous PreSequel was a better game than Destiny with its superior outer space features. A disappointing game on top of a list of disappointments for 2014.

The fact they charge $20 for each of these DLC packs is ridiculous. Sure, the "season pass" is $35, but I think that shows exactly how much they truly value these DLC: less than $10 a piece. I can say with certainty that after the second DLC (the last DLC my copy of the game came with) will be the last one I play through.

In all honesty I bet there won't be more than 4-5 paid DLC packs. Now that Destiny 2 has been all but officially announced I bet any serious additions to the game are being postponed as content in Destiny 2. They've already confirmed your character will carry over as well. Basically this means nothing of serious note or value will ever be added into Destiny.

Yep that certainly all sounds like more Destiny - Lack Of Content, High Price. Same as ever then. If this game doesn't get biggest disappointment I may have to retract my "Don't get mad at awards" mentality.

The way this is now integrated into the main game, I didn't even realize I was playing the first expansion until I was basically done.
