I loved how this turned into a mini podcast about teaching Dan about the complexities of modern living.

Well, this comment section is wild. This is a video game website. About video games. It has video games in it. And other things, like people.

Not all eggs are fertilized, you can keep chickens and they'll still lay eggs even without a rooster.

"I'll just combine down the wheat into yeast and make that into bread."

There is no adult human on the planet that could consider that a sensible statement. I'm pleased that Dan is going to New York for the simple fact that I think Alex is going to call him on his acting dumb shtick in a way that San Francisco just walked away from.

I was also fairly shocked at Jeff's assertion on store bought eggs being fertilized.

I never knew so many Giant Bomb members were farmers.

They are so ignorant about basic farming concepts...

@skuupin: Hah, well, I don't disagree with your sentiment but...I bet you're wrong on almost all accounts. Have you seen like, ANY "on the street" thing in NYC? No adult human on the planet?

I don't trust the science of climate change for several reasons. First reason, the scientists in question livelihood depends on man made climate change being real. So for the same reason I don't trust corporations, I don't trust the climate scientists themselves. Government funding for climate research is a HUGE industry, with government funneling billions into research facilities/universities.

Second reason I don't trust the science is because they got caught lying about the science in the climate gate scandal where internal emails came out showing them colluding to change temperature data, making old data seem cooler than it was, and rounding newer data up.

Third reason I don't trust it is because liberals have been using it as a political weapon for 3 decades.

I'm not saying that man doesn't haven't an impact on global warming, but I think it's exaggerated by the left in a very major way. I also think it's VERY debatable if the change we have and will have is a bad thing. I know we've heard doomsday scenarios, but there's no proof that climate change has negatively impacted us. Quite the opposite. The warmer the temperature, the more farmable land there is. Sure we lose some to desert, but we gain more than we lose. The hysteria over hurricanes has proven to be unfounded. The claims made about weather have proven to be false over and over. Sea rising levels. False. Weather predictions. False.

The truth is, it's an extremely complicated issue, and most people can't even begin to understand the science or the implications. It does not help that the scientist keep making wild claims about what is going to happen, and continually being wrong about them.

no one cares

@grimreefz: Agreed. He should be put in a box and buried.

I'm kidding. Dan and Vinnie are pretty much the reason why I keep my sub. And Jeff....it's almost impossible not to like that guy.

This quick look is more relevant then ever haha - "We live in difficult fucking times" - Jeff 100% wrapped it up in the best sentiment.

I read this article that was from AP or some other 'not wacky conspiracy' source that found out there is arsenic, lead, and cadmium in baby food... and not just one brand.

*edit* I wonder how much Dan's head would explode if he heard where NASA started, and where some of the top scientists came from..
