This feels like one of those games where you can just do whatever you want and have fun without having to worry too much. I really like that.

I should have been counting the number of times Vinny almost made me spit out my coffee. Open World Vinny strikes again!

Watching Vinny-Rico cause mayhem and destruction is, as always, a delight. Bummer that the one mission bugged out on them - its the sort of thing I kind of accept in big open world games like this, but its still frustrating when it happens.

JC3 is going to be my first time getting into the series. It looks great but I doubt I will be beating this game in one sitting instead coming back to it on and off between lulls. Sort of has an arcade like vibe to it similar to Sunset Overdrive.

That's a great way to play this series. I've been playing JC2 on and off since it came out. It's a great game to just drop into and fuck around in for an hour or two at a time.

I'm sure this game is fine, but I just don't see the appeal.

Sooo ... Quick Look of the year?

I find that "thank God there is not hacking minigame" stance weird. I always rather be playing the game, and the first time I saw the hacking here I had the completely opposite reaction of "so you just stand there and watch a bar fill up?" I'd vastly prefer to have a minigame that I can potentially get better at so I hack faster, as opposed to just watching a canned animation play out while I twiddle my thumbs. Same thing goes for most QTE's in games really, I don't understand the new age hate for these small things. Although that Fallout 4 hacking minigame is fucking awful, and has been since Fallout 3, I totally understand why someone would hate that.

Maybe it'd kinda break the flow in a game like this, if you'd be suddenly combining pipes wires for water data flow when there's almost constant gunfire and explosions going off around you. That and I can't really remember any good minigames, only ones that were either something overly easy (that could've just as well been me idling for five seconds) or major pain in the arse.

But maybe we can finally improve on those, since that whole loading screen patent expired yesterday, so developers can start working on minigames for those!

This is the most Vinny game of 2015.

Ah man, I want to be excited but it just seems too safe of a sequel. After almost 50 hours with JC2 i feel like I've already experienced most of what this game has to offer.

Can we have 2 more hours of this please!?

getting gears exclusively from challenges kinda sucks. they should've at least had them /also/ findable in the open-world like before. oh well, im still going to drain my soul into this game.

Vinny sure could have used all the infinite helmets in Sleeping Dogs for this quick look. Rico's head apparently wasn't built like a billy goat.

Tuesday couldn't come soon enough. Cannot wait for a new Just Cause playground. Love the changes they made from the second. Seems a lot more streamlined for quick fun. Also, I hope Avalanche put tons of easter eggs in this like Just Cause 2. Seeking those out were one of the reasons I explored so much of that world.
